i Was just gettin ready to ask same.
Just got my Double Choc/Peanut butter 80/20 pg/vg at 24 mg nic

very subtle taste, still pleasant but was expecting to be stronger.
Here is my deal/Question

in my Blu - I get good TH but little vapor, more than before but little. I dont mind though cause I use the Blu for stealth vaping.

In my 510 its the opposite, i get virtually no TH but alot of vapor.

I read somewhere that someone mention the 510 has to be broken in for a bit for it to really work efficiently, is that true. or what is the deal.

am getting ready to order an Ego since that is suppose to be top notch for both, i really want something the feels "TH" like the real thing or better and one that vapes. For when i'm sitting around just vaping.

anyone have any clues?

Throat hit comes and goes throughout the day for me. This is true for all the e-cigs I have tried (901, 306A, 510). The 510 is my newest and by far my favorite of the 3. It produces much more vapor than the others and for the most part the TH is good. I have been using VG liquid so far, but I think I'll try some PG tonight.

I have noticed that most atomizers take a little while before they start producing optimum TH, then they perform well for a while, then the throat hit tapers off. Usually when that happens I will blow them out and let them stand and drain for a few days. They seem to come back after a rest for some reason.

Hey All, new to all this, but I think I can kick in something on that metallic taste. I notice this when the filler has gone a bit too dry. Either low on juice or just bad flow. I recognize the taste from doing a quick dry burn of the atomizer when switching flavors. Sniff the chamber, should be familiar to that taste.

I was fortunate enough to find and do the zero filler mod right off the bat, and that metallic taste is exactly how I know its time to refill, or set down the unit with the cart up so gravity can do its thing

The stock filler isn't horrible, but its far from great. Seems no matter what I could only get two good "smokes" (2x15 puff sittings) out of them. From then on only the first 2-3 puffs were producing throat hits.

ZFM mod is great. You probable will waste a few plugs, but once you get it right its magic. Then all you'll have to worry about is discipline: Works so well you might start going through more juice than you'd like to admit.

Alright, so at first the flavor was amazing, clove was really good, and now it's like metallic tasting if that makes sense, and I don't know why, Any ideas?

Could be several things -
First off make sure your atty isnt too dry.
If the filler isnt right up to the top of the cart it wont deliver juice to the atty bridge - I got bored poking mine about so I went to direct dripping- much easier imo lol. 510 atties need to be KEPT MOIST (moist as opposed to sopping wet which is flooded, and not good) try dripping a couple of drops of juice DIRECTLY on your atty bridge and see if the taste changes at all.
If the filler is fine, it could be the dreaded 'taste bud revolution' - its actually your nose not your tongue but after giving up or reducing smoking your taste receptors kind of go on strike occasionally. Its very annoying but it passes. Doesn't always affect food tasting btw.
Can also be 'overload' - after you smell something for long enough it stops registering so you have to take a break and try something new or it'll be a while before you can taste that particular flavor again.
Bad atty - yes it happens - some atties just turn on you without warning and taste like poo. Easiest solution; try another atty.
