I recently ordered a Hello 016 which should be here tomorrow and I just ordered a regular 510 kit to replace the Blu that I am unhappy with and to use when I don't want that big batery between me and other people, know what I mean there? I also ordered some 510 cartos and some juice.

Now I know that all 510 atties and cartos have the same thread, so I figure there's a lot of campatibility between the several models (Egos, rivas, etc) and seeing how I really don't care how the big batts will look when I'm using them (i.e. I don't really need the cone when using cartos, etc.) I figure now I can just order different batteries and chargers if I want to try new systems and all my atties, carts and cartos will protty much work. In other words, as long as I stick with various 510 models, I no longer have to buy complete kits.

Am I way off base here? It seems correct, but being a complete noob, I'm not sure and don't want to wind up buying something I can't use right off.

Not off base at all. Virtually all 510 gear is compatible across PVs and vendors. There are a couple issues, but not due to threading problems:

You can in theory use any 510 atty on a 510 batt, no matter the resistance (the original Joyes are about 2.5 ohms), but a low resistance atty will burn out a regular 510 batt fast, as in dead will not charge. Its too much current draw for the battery and it will drain too fast and not bounce back well with recharging.

The eGo mega cartomizers, which are big and tapered plastic things, like a big pipe mouth piece, will attach fine to a regular 510 batt, and will work, but they look weird. They should be just fine in appearance on your Hello016. Good choice on the Hello016, BTW, since it is actually a bit more voltage than the eGo, even though it looks almost the same.

And if you decide to try low resistance attys, use them only on 3.7V PV. Your Hello with an LR atty should be just great, even if it does drain the battery fast than a regular atty.

For high volt PVs, like 6V or more, you may find that the regular 510 atty is too hot. One then gets high-resistance attys for those.

But as far as threading is concerned, virtually all 510 gear is interchangeable. You just have to be careful about actual volts and resistance so to either not have a very weak vape, or too hot, which tends to fry the attys anyway.

The skies the limit with 510s! You may also want to try some of the new CE2 R4 cartos...they rock!
