I currently use a Blucig and have been for a month now since I started vaping. I won't rehash all the arguments for and against Blucig, except to very briefly explain why I want to switch to something else. Basically, with the Blucig, I can only get a satisfactory vaping experience if I drip. If I don't drip, forget about it. So I drip, and it's fine - good throat hit, flavor and vapor production. But I've got to drip about once every 10-15 minutes and I'm getting tried of it.

I was thinking about getting a juice box, as that is basically a constant drip but without the micromanagement of manual dripping. However, I don't want to carry around a big box and use it in public.

I have been reading up on the 510, and from what I have read, that one comes down to dripping as well. Basically, from what I read, the 510 is more forgiving than the blucig in terms of not having to make long, slow drags to get a lot of vapor, but in the end, most people seem to be saying that the 510 carts suck just like the blu carts and people end up just dripping anyway.

Then I read up on the KR808 and cartomizers. I have some concern about the cost of the cartos, as obviously they are more expensive than replacing atties on the 510 or Blu IF you cannot generally refill them. But I am hearing some people say that you can usually refill them.

Do the cartos giving a "drip" experience with vaping? What are the pluses and minuses of the 510 versus the KR808?

Thanks in advance for advice.

kr808 is not a dripping thing,

yes the cartomizers can be refilled easily a few times.
Some people even wash them out and reuse some more. Too much trouble for me , I refill them perhaps 6 or 8 times and toss it.

How long does one refill last you? I'm trying to figure out the economics of it. A blank carto seems to cost about $2 for the premium ones, less if you buy non-premium ones in bulk.

I drip with my kr808 cartos from ecigsupply and a super t t-tip. I fill them once and add 6 - 10 drops at a time as needed. I probably get about 3ml through the cartomizer before I reach that point. Dripping keeps the carto in the 'sweet spot' and it tastes way better then dripping on a 510. The carto is either trash or needs to be cleaned when it stops absorbing the drops and starts leaking it out the bottom.

You can drip with a kr808 battery and a 901 to 510 adaptor with a 510 atty.. Or just a 901 atty which also fits but may leak on you...

Kr808 cartoz last long and there are alot of flavors available versus the 510 cartoz that are prefilled. If you get blanks for either model, then its about the same.. Good luck

the Kr808 in a great no fuss solution if you don't mind the expence. However, if you are going to be refilling or dripping you might as well go with an eGo, you get better battery life and more vapor. If you really want to kick it up go with a 5 volt or use a LR 510 atty. No matter what you do there will be a learning curve I have not met two people yet who have come up with the same solution for their personal needs.

I really feel the need for a large amount of vapor and the 510 just did a better job than the Kr808. Right now I am vaping a 510 with a 5 volt passthough and I am all smiles. The hit and flavor is amazing.

I kr808 holds up to 32 drops, that is over 1 ml liquid. I refill them up to 6 or 8 times
so yes i carto could last you a week. I do know of people that clean them and reuse for much longer, I just dont take the trouble myself.

Dont get me wrong, I like my 510 too, but for no muss no fuss I like the kr808.

That sounds pretty good, up to about a week without the cleaning, possibly more if you clean.

Since you have used both the KR808 and 510, which gives better vapes in terms of volume, TH and flavor? I notice Brad, above, thinks the 510 gives better vapes.

Well that is subjective, The 510 with a good working addy has a bit more th I think and perhaps a bit more vapor. The flavor is less on it. It depends a whole lot on the juice and if the addy is working right. When it is , then it can be great.

The kr808 has more flavor and and bit less vapor. I still get a good th on it. again depending on the juice.

I love the kr808 for the fact that I can stick in in the pocket of my jeans and just go, no worrying about leaking or topping off a lot.

I like the 510 for home because I can play with it and try different juices without filling a new cart with just dripping.
even so it is good to have differant addys for differant juices, fruit , tobacco, or the creamy dessert ones.

My kr808 gets the most use because of the portability and ease of use.

Everyone has their preference in the end.

Well, I ended up with both. They both serve their purpose and I am glad I went with them. Use the kr8 mostly, but every now and then, have an urge for the 510. I pick it up an vape away. The charge on the battery holds a pretty long time doing it this way.
They are really very good products.
And you can pick up a set of each for a very reasonable cost.

Thanks for all the suggestions. In the end, I ordered an Ego (Tornado) from TW, which should be arriving by Friday. Besides the excellent reviews on the Ego, the deciding factor is that I have the option of using cartos for that if I decide to do so, whereas with the KR808 cartos appear to be the only option.

I am giddy in anticipation of my new delivery.
