I guess it depends on how she uses it. If she only uses it for a few minutes every now and then, I'd go with the clamshell type PCC from Volcano:
MAGMA ecig carrying case charger

Or the standard Joye PCC:
Joye 510 PCC

If she is a chain vaper or close to it I'd go with the madvapes 510 PCC:
510 SMART PCC

I have all of these models. I load them up and use them based on what I'm doing or where I'm going. If she's a carto user, go with the Volcano Clamshell PCC (holds 2 cartos and 1 batt) or the madvapes (up to 6 cartos and 2 batts). The Joye only holds one carto and one batt. If she uses regular attys and carts then any of the three will work ok.

I have the standard metal pcc and it is annoying. The button on the side hurts my finger. Its a kit I loan to interested people but from a womens point of view I think the madvapes one is better. There is nothing more annoying than having random extra batts and cartos floating around the bottom of your purse. This one holds more and in an organized fashion has a Battery indicator... Even if she is a light smoker she nay find herself vaping alot while transitioning. I would go for madvapes. Which does she like or is it a surprise? Good luck!

I agree with zen the joye metal pcc is vey annoying i keep it in my purse for emergency but never really use it. I have the Blu pack, and the Magma Pcc and those are very convenient and they can hold cartomizers. The only thing I don't like about them is you have to screw the battery in to charge them. The metal onescome in nice colors but they are pricey and the edges are sharp the color isnt worth the price especially when it won't get used. If you can find a plastic one that will hold an assembled 510 then it is really useful. The palastic ones dont have sharp edges which I like.

The madvapes PCC operates similar to the Joye PCC in that you don't screw the batteries in. You just stick it in and close the lid. The lid forces the battery down into the connecter. You push the button on the front for about three or so seconds and the LED light will flash. If it turns red, it's charging. If not, then it's either a full battery or a dud. The light will shut off after a few seconds. If you push the button again for a second or less, it will re-light the LED. If red, its still charging. If green then its done. Display on front tells you the PCC battery status only.

I would probably call or email Volcano before using non-Magma batteries in their PCC. I'm pretty sure things have been updated on it by now but my first production run Magma PCC wouldn't charge Boge or Joye 510 auto batts and wouldn't fit any manual batteries. I recall seeing some posts recently that said the newest run of PCCs will handle Magma manual batteries but not others as the Magma manual has a lower profile button on it. Since the Madvapes one handles all of my various manufacturers 510 batts I'd recommend it first. The only "feature" missing from the MV as opposed to the Magma is the LED flashlight at the bottom. That and the somewhat visually displeasing graphic on the front of the MV are the only real differences.

I suggest the MadVapes PCC Kit. You get 2 batts, 2 attys, the pcc and some juice and carts for $50. Or just the PCC for $25 (I think). But would go with that one over the metal one. I like the Magma PCC (I have one) but it does have problems with the high profile 510 manuals. My roommate has the Madvapes PCC and its nice (nice price too)
