Well, wouldn't you know I got one that doesn't want to keep the battery pushed all the way down. I know someone somewhere (maybe earlier in this thread) said something about using a piece of wood for short batteries. What kind of short batteries? I have a piece of foam in there right now, but surely it's not designed to be held in there like that, putting so much pressure on the hinge.

I guess I should update my info so it doesn't look like a gamble with Health Cabin. I have no idea why, but as far as I can tell, the PCC is working perfectly now. The only thing I can think of is the battery I was trying to charge was already totally full, which is something I really didn't expect. I really didn't expect the batteries to be fully charged when I first got them. It could be that this one was the one shipped in the PCC and the PCC was already charged, but I really don't remember. I've slept since then. :)

The bottom red light comes on when charging the unit's internal battery and goes green when fully charged. When you disconnect it, the light goes off. When you put a discharged ecig batt the top light goes red (sometimes**) and when charged that light goes out. Sorry if you knew that but it was unclear.

I have one PCC from Janty that I had to modify to get the slot for the manual button. Sometimes when I put a battery in the red light does not come on - that never happens from the two that I got from Innovapor but I thought it might have to do when I modded it. Anyway, the battery still charges when I leave it there for a 1/2 hour and sometimes the light comes on during charging. So just because the light doesn't come on, may not mean that it isn't charging.

Yeah, that was the problem. The red light wasn't coming on unless I pressed the battery in more or put some foam in the lid before shutting it. Either the PCC was charging the battery and the light just wasn't coming on or my battery was already fully charged, thus making the light not come on.

Just for testing, put one in and don't put the padding in and see if in a half hour if it is charged. I'm guessing it will be.

Yeah, that's actually why I felt like I should update. I haven't had the foam in there since that first night. I can now put a battery in and the light goes out in about an hour - just like it should. :) Just something odd going on that first night. This is the best thing since sliced bread. Before the PCC, if I left the house I had to take a spare battery, and I always had to worry that my spare would be weak.

They absolutely cannot handle heavy use. I bought the pcc kit from TW, not realizing that it wouldn't come with a basic charger... only the pcc. After about a month of use, the pcc lid didn't have enough pressure on the battery to charge it, I ended up having to put a piece of paper in the lid to get it to press down enough to charge. Eventually, the paper didn't even work... So now I have to use a rubber band to hold it down to charge. If you're ONLY using the pcc to charge on the go, and using a traditional charger at home, you shouldn't have any problems. But anything in the way of heavy use, and it will not hold up. I'd like to get my hands on the 'tard who designed this thing... Who makes a charger that requires the lid to apply the pressure in order to charge, vs. screwing it in?
Great idea, terribly executed.
I've tested this... if the light doesn't come on, it is not charging.

I got my PCC from esmokeytreats.com. I have had it for over three months. It works great. No lid issues, charges fine. It is slotted for the manual batteries and I have had no issues at all. I even charge my 54 mm Joye 306 batteries in it. I use a modified eraser that you put on top of a pencil on the l.e.d. end to make contact with the lid as funny as that may sound, but it works. Great device a must have for all 510 users.
