Hi. I'm new to vaping but happened to get ahold of a 510 and am using Petco Fluval for my refills. I use JC juice and I am noticing that it just doesn't appear to wick well, with juice left at the bottom of the cart. Also, when I top off the juice just sits there slightly below the surface of the Fluval and doesn't move down even though the cart is only half-full (5 drops to start).

Would I be better off using polyfill? I have a huge bag of it, enough to last me a lifetime...

Do I have any solutions other than changing juice?

TIA.

Get something pointy, a good pair of sharp ended tweezers are a Godsend when messing around with fillers. Then simply move the filler slightly away from one side, so the liquid can seap down the sides of the cart. Or you can push the filler down using the tweezers, and add your usual amount of juice, then slowly drag the filling back up the cart, so it absorbs the juice.

There aer many mods out there, the straw method being one of them, but frankly, I find the above tips work just as well.

VG is thicker, so a juice with 80 -20 ratio is going to take longer to absorb. If you are happy with that mix, then just encourage absorbtion as recommended, it should work ok.

I also add a couple of drops direct to the atomiser when filling a cart, that means the initial inhale doesnt rely on slow wicking.

Try this cart mod:

I use Johnson & Johnson's safety swab Qtip shaft (plastic tube) and cut a diagonal on both ends (same side). I cut the top to keep it away from the bridge. That should not only help on filling but on wicking as well. While I have some carts using the polyfil, most have this mod with a blue foam plug - marineland blue foam that is cut a bit wider than the top of the cart and only about 3/8 inch deep. The whole bottom of the cart just has ejuice (and the straw mod).
