510 vrs EGO connection

new member had to post this here, Iam having a mod built and on that thread theres other members asking for a EGO connector for there mod, is that so they can use the cone? I ask this because Iam using a 510 cartomizer on my EGO

Yes, The eGo uses a normal 510 battery connection, the additional larger threads are there for a cone.

I think what they're referring to is just the threads for the eGo cone, since the actual atomizer connector on the eGo is just a 510. I can understand why they are asking this. With some eGo gear (particularly with the Giantomizers and eGo dual-coils) the draw can be too light on certain setups. For those I actually use an adapter that has the eGo cone threads and this optimizes the air flow for those cartomizers. I've also heard of at least one cartomizer that actually uses those larger threads to attach, but this is not common and I have not personally had any experience with them

If you don't want to have a mod built with an Ego connector it isn't offered then you can get a 510/Ego Adapter to use with any 510 connection which will allow you to use the Ego proprietary stuff on anything.

I've got one and actually prefer this method because I can move it from mod to mod. I use the cone on everything now, I like the draw and it makes dripping clean and no mess. Plus I don't have a connector sticking up out of the mod if I don't want to use it.
