510 vs eGo

I ran acorss one website that said that the eGo uses the same cartridges and atomizers as the 510. So, does that mean the only difference is the battery? If so, does that mean that I could start with a 510 starter kit, then just get eGo batteries to make a 510 into an eGo?

I am wondering because strictlyejuice.com has 510 starter kits for $35.

Yes. The eGo uses all the 510 carts and atomizers but uses its own batteries and charger. I started out with a 510 a couple of months ago. Then I ordered spare batteries. Then I ordered extended life batteries. Today I received my eGo and am happily using it right now.

Knowing what I know now (hindsight is always 20/20) I would have ordered an eGo from the get go. But at least I have plenty of standard 510 batteries as spares if needed.
