hi,
I have been using the m402 for 2 days now. It's pretty good, nice vapor, easy to use, etc. But i am not getting any throat hit. I did get a little throat hit when i dripped some menthol juice.
Should I buy the 501 to get some good throat hit? I am not feeling satisfied. I keep grabbing my analogs..
If you have the 401 and the 510, can you please comment on the throat hit. Are they the same ? Thanks.:)

Hello NIkomoul. Throat hit always depends on the e-liquid you use. 510 is always a good device than the 401 though but if you are getting the throat hit with a good liquid anyting shud be fine. Hope this solves your problem.
Well coming to the analogs nothing can beat them you shud have the will and a good e liquid to over come the cravings like a 24mg is doing good for me.

I could not disagree more!! Although throat hit is more pronounced with the highest strength juice, the power of the device you use makes the biggest difference. Anyone who would vape with a 5 volt or 6 volt manual PV and then vape with a super mini would see the dramatic difference in throat hit. You CANNOT deny the physical properties of science/electricity.

Nikomoul, I have a 402 and a 510 manual. For me, I get better throat hit and better flavor and more vapor from the 510. The 510 is very very close to an actual analog for me. But, as I said, that's just my opinion and others may disagree. ;)

The 402 was my first PV, and I limped along with it for a few weeks and, like you, wasn't completely satisfied and wasn't able to give up the analogs. After just a few days with my 510 (mainly, just the time it took to get all my batts charged and find a favorite flavor) I was able to quit the analogs.

That's not to say I never have a craving for an analog now and then, but the 510 gets me through it.

If you've got the money to spend and you're committed to quitting analogs, I would say try a different model if the 402 isn't working for you. That may be the 510 or something else, but find the one that works for you.

I stocked up on 402 parts and pieces, and could have probably saved my money. Once I started using the 510, i found the 402 to be pretty near useless. That is, it is not nearly as satisfying for me. I will use it a bit here and there, but a 402 will never sustain me. As far as a smaller, mobile device goes, a black 510 with the slightly flattened mouthpiece is my workhorse, and got me off the analogs.

I have both, and if you're looking for throat hit/analog-esque satisfaction, go for the 510. No contest at all.

That being said, I don't think the 401 is bad. I wouldn't rely on it for my sole PV, but it's really grown on me in the few weeks since I bought it. Nice flavor, smooth draw, and nice to hold in the hand when you feel like sitting at home chain-vaping or playing with new juice flavors.

Let us know how you like that 510 you have on order; I bet you'll love it. :D

not having joye now (ready to buy), but from 3 months m401 using, have to say:
1.good device with good e-juice is better than analogue (24mg, satysfying me better with TASTE and THROATH HIT/considering SET AND SETTING - check out original meaning, i smoke analogue at morning with coffee to ****)
2.atomiser is most important thing (my second one is far better than original one - buy a set, i try different cleaning techniques)
3.play with it, it´s WORTH

PS. sorry if mistyping, 1000ml red wine working (with heavy 2.0mg hilton/tobaco vaping):)))

I fully agree with this. This is becoming more of an issue since the higher strength juice is slowly disappearing. I guess this is being done "for our protection" but there is nothing we can do about it. So we need to get our hit from better quality juice and higher performance equipment. I have built a nicostick to use with my 510 am very pleased with the performance over the stock battery. My next move will probably be to a higher voltage unit. Assuming that we are able to keep buying equipment, that is. If not I'll just build whatever I need.
