I agree with jctennis. A 510 is a great choice to start with. Grab a 510 starter pack and a few different flavors of e-juice in smaller 10 or 15-mL size to figure out what you like. Don't worry about mods or anything like that just yet.

I started with the blu, and I don't regret it...they have the best case and some mighty tasty juice (their cherry and vanilla are dynamite). But refilling the little carts is a real pain...and buying new carts from them all the time can get expensive. Direct dripping works really well on the blu...but that can be a little tricky for a newbie.

As much as I like the blu, I didn't use it for a week before I ordered my 510. I use them both depending on the situation, but the 510 is my go-to PV.

Good luck!

I started with a 510 too. You'll probably want more, more, more after a while, but the 510 (or a tornado?)is a great jumping off point. Get some higher mg nicotine juice too, so many people start out too low and end up jonesing before they can get more juice ordered. get some 18mg or 24mg (even if you're currently smoking lights or ultra lights) besides, you can always cut it down later when you figure out what mg you need.

Do also have a look at the eGo - basically, a 510 with a bigger battery and a neat cone. Taste is slightly better because of it, too.

I've been using my 510 since I first started (in Dec '09) and still love it. Been thinking about giving an eGo a try, though. It has a nice shape to it, and I could use a little more battery life !

I'm new, but here was the order that I acquired them in: BLU, RN4072 (pen style), 901 stainless steel, Tornado, 501 automatic. I love them all! Just use them for different activities, or depending on what's charged up. I've had good customer service from every company that I've dealt with.

I'm still smoking but I've had days with only 4-5 analogs. I love the new hobby and the best thing is that it gives me hope that I might be able to quit.

JC Tennis: You're right on w/Cignot. Good prices and friendly emails w/questions.

It appears that most of the vendors I've found for the eGo are out of stock.
if you have the disposable cash, go for it. I had very little to spend to start out, espeically as I was unsure whether this would work for me.
The basic 510 kit is a good place to start. Although I've had some setbacks, it had nothing to do with the kit itself.
Got mine at Cignot, but Mike and Carols has them for a similar price.

The Tornardo and the eGo are the same PV, only the Tornardo comes with a very slow charger, and you have to pay extra for a fast one. The eGo-Sets come with the much faster eGo-charger.

Shops should have eGos in store very soon, there was a complete underestimation of demand coupled with Chinese New Year, but they are on their way to the shops right now. (And have arrived already in some.)

A lot of people seem to start with those and are satisfied. I'm one of the few who actually started with a mod. OK, technically, I started with Blu, but after 3 days, I sent it back because I hated Blu...then I got the Janty Stick.

I've been using the JS since last July and I just ordered my first 510 kit with PCC from Cignot on Friday. It's getting delivered today...so we'll see how that goes. ;)
