The CDC is in a 'predicament'. In order to justify more funding for their tobacco projects, they have to show how effective they've been in reducing smoking/addiction, but in order to attack ecigarettes, they have to show how more kids are using 'tobacco products'.

Unfortunately, half of the gov't would give them money regardless of how they're doing, either to 'add to their success' or 'help bail out their failures' :facepalm: Glantz et.al. are pointing out their failures with junk science. Wonder how they feel about that?

This is really excellent! Thanks for posting, Bill.

I'm glad the 53 good scientists responded to the shameless glANTZ letter, not only refuting the lies with facts and evidence-based arguments, but also directly voicing concern with regards to a thinly veiled «attempt to influence policy through misrepresentation of evidence».
