5v atty question

I recently changed to a 5volt mod with 510 attys, and I love it, it's VV and i started abit low 4.3 and finally ended up at 5.1v as my "sweet spot".

My issue or complaint is I seem to go through about 1 atty every 3-5 days, I'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong or if that is what I should expect with a standard res 510 atty?

Really? What resistance atty are you using? Are you using a LR atty or something higher?

Personally ive been using 2.2 ohm attys which gives it about 11.36w...a little high some people would say but ive burned through them the fastest in a month or so...i also use them at 6v and they still last at least that long.

I'm using standard resistance attys, bought 30 from puresmoker.com when i got this new mod....

Maybe I'll try another vendor, i did notice that they seem to hit abit harder then some others I bought from other vendors on my backup ego.

Oh i do consider myself a heavy vaper i vape thru about 6ml of fluid a day normally and at most 10ml... so keep that in mind when you think of timeframes.

I have blown thru 3 other attys from other vendors at about the same rate... Should maybe I clean them daily? I havent had to clean any of em thus far, when they were blown they were blown tried cleaning and no go.

I vape at 5 v and a standard atty (3.0 ohms) lasts me over a month. I'd suggest getting/using/buying/borrowing a multi-meter and testing the atties. When you say "go through" are you saying they die and don't heat at all anymore, correct? Wire burnt through from getting too hot?

Yes, blow them out twice per day. They get gunked, then you over heat them to compensate and they fry. But test them for Ω too. They do vary. Once we know the ohms, we can calculate the watts and get a better idea of what is going on.

And yes, wont heat at all, no matter how high i turn up the voltage.

At 5v, you shouldnt need to blow them out that often. The gunk doesnt build up that fast when running at higher voltage.
