Is there a 5v battery for a bullet mod? I've 2 3v and 2 3.7 v batteries, and one's too hot and the other's too cool. I would love a provari, but I'm already out about 200 on the bullet and the batteries and don't want to spend any more money - for now.

This is why I never recommend an all mechanical model.

When you are ready to spend some more money and want the best 5 volt model on the market, then I would suggest the 5 volt GLV 2: Electronic Cigarettes and E-Liquid - Great Lakes Vapor

Lifetime warranty and built to last.

What?
The what is in response to a "I never recommend a mechanical model" comment. :)
Why the GLV-2 and not the 3?

The 5 volt GLV 3 is also right up there on the best list. I didn't mention it because the OP made no mention of wanting a "feeder" model.

Some of the mechanical PV's are well built. I just don't like the limitations of either 3.7 or 6 volt vaping. As the OP stated, one is too light and the other is too hot. 4.5 - 5 volts is a preferred power level for many.

You bought a GLV and didn't like it? What is it about the GLV's performance that you didn't like? And what 5 volt PV do you believe performs better?

Hated the button placement, felt like using a BIC lighter to me.
If you read my signature you might notice that everything has a side mounted button.

So it wasn't a performance issue, just how the button was placed. Some people don't like bottom button placement either like on the Prodigy. I had to get use to the button placement on the Darwin. The performance was so good that it didn't take me long. Now it is just second nature as I'm sure it is with the legion of GLV users.

The performance was what I expected for 5v, but 5v is 5v, and there are plenty of alternatives that will run at 5v. Your Darwin being one of many.
If a person wants to find out what 5v vaping is like, my advice is to get a little $40 box mod from MadVapes and a box of 3ohm Boge cartos, and see if they even like it before they invest a whole bunch of money.

My personal description of 5v vaping is that it's like drinking strait shots when you are use to drinking mixed drinks. I think most new users will want to turn it down to 4.5-4.7v or so

Obviously I prefer the Darwin and the added flexiblity of variable volt. I think your description of vaping at 5 volt is subjective and everyone is different. It's not nearly as strong as straight shots to me. Just nice and warm and not light and airy like 3.7 volt vaping. I have 5 volt box mod PV's also, mainly as a backup. They do a good job but they won't hold up like a GLV2 will. If 5 volt was what I wanted to vape at all the time, I would invest in one of the better ones like the GLV2.
