Personally haven't tried 5V on my grand yet. BUT, the closest thing to 5V will be the 4.8V nimh batts that a lot of fellow REO users have. They will require a special charger for them and so, the one you have shown will not work for these (have the same one). Here's some links for them (best prices I've found):

4.8 Volt NiMH Battery Cell
4.8 volt NiMH Battery Charger

So I have a question. Other than TH is there a reason to move to 5 or 6v. I am not a TH chaser, my juices and 3.7 v's do well for me. Is there greater vapor production, or better flavor involved?

I have been thinking about trying it, but if higher voltage is primarily for TH, I may pass on it for awhile longer and invest in more REO's :)

I found the higher voltage gives a bit more vapor, and warmer vapor. I haven't noticed a significant difference in TH, but YMMV. Careful, though. It's one of those "doors" that, once opened, may be impossible to close again ;)

Thanks for the input. Think I will wait until I replace my mini that is going to a good friend to help him get off the stinky's

Hmmm.....time to get battys and attys, and this doesn't sound too bad! Price sounds reasonable. What kind of life do these suckers have? Will they more easily pop a LR atty?

And what's the latest on attys? Cisco? Or the HH356? For $20 bucks, it had better be one helluva vape, to the point of being almost :censored:. And has EM finally gotten their...stuff...together on their LR's?

Gotta run off to work again, will check back later for answers. Thanks!

Forget the 357 IMO. I tried a sealed and an unsealed 357 on multiple devices and was not impressed at all. They are super finicky and think Cisco LR 306's perform better then the 357. I would just stick to the basic Cisco attys and save some $$.

Thanks for the responses. The mod master recommended Smoketech LR 510's, and the good folks on the yak yak yak thread recommended bulk joye lr 510's from vaporkings. Got both. (Joye is kinda like IBM, can't really go wrong buying it, and I know and adore Rob and Michelle from my GG phase. Plus, being an hour and a half up the pike from me, I get their shipments the next day.)

Still contemplating the 4.8 setup. I'm thinking it would be a good way to get some extra life out of my older LR 510 attys that don't do quite as well with 3.6 to 4.2 volts. Opinion?

Clyde, it's your fault I bought a Reo Grand and quit smoking over 7 months ago. Your review thread was the first I had heard of ReosMods and you had the gall to answer my PM's when I bugged you for further info. Since you seem totally unrepentant, the least you can do is allow me to send you two 600 mAh 4.8V NiMH batteries and a charger. If you like 'em, you keep 'em. If they're not for you, just send 'em back.

That should learn ya.

Nah, I'm almost untrainable. I'll take you up on the offer, and buy 'em from ya'. Awesome, thanks!

Hi Clyde -- I have tried 1.5 on the 5V set up -- super hot if that's how you like it -- but it may burn juices with delicate flavor and may kill the atty. 2.0 to 3.0 OHMs are usually recommended :)

See this thread for more info and opinions: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/reos-mods/198476-reo-5v.html

I found a lot of my old not-so-good attys came back to life on 4.8v. It seems to heat the atty enough to burn off a lot of old juice. It *will* run hotter, so I wouldn't go with LR attys, but I've used down to 2.0Ω with no problem. Most of the time, I prefer around 2.5-2.8. I like warm, but not hot.
