I use a V4L passthrough with CE2 cartos. When ever I'm sitting home I use the passthrough but when I leave the house I take batteries. Now all my batteries, (vgo, 808 ego, volt, etc.) are regulated at 3.2 or 3.7 volts. It's a dramatic drop off in vapor compared to the passthrough. So does anyone know of a mod or 808 battery that generates 5v?

Is the V4L passthrough actually 5 volts? Do I need to switch to 501 to get higher voltage?

The last I looked, someone in their forum section stated it was 5V, but I don't have one.
You could put a multimeter on it to check, use a straw if it's auto.

I have found that different jooses perform differently at different voltages, therefore I use a variable volt PV.
I would look into a VVPV with 808 threads, something like the BuzzPro. However, there are many VVPV's out on the market that can be purchased with 808 threads.
Find a design that you like, search the forum and YouTube for reviews.
I like my Lavatube, but I use a 510-808 adapter for all my 808 stuff. The digital screen is nice as you can see the actual voltage vs. a dial.
I purchase most of my devices around the 3 ohm resistance as it gives the widest range of watts for your juice and still stays within safe operating parameters.
Good luck with your hunt :)

Get any mod you like, if it's not available in 808 connection, then slap an adapter on it. You're good to go.

I love my madvapes VV box mods.
Like Skelley, I also use standard resistance (2.8-3 ohm) cartos on mine.

that one or old goat's box mod were the ones i was considering. less pricy than the nicer tube mods.

I don't have an OG box, but I've heard good things about them. Either one should serve you well.
Just a tip. Get it with a drip well. You WILL have a leak, eventually.

(After a leaking incident, I have been known to fill my box mods with vodka, (after removing the batteries) give then a couple good shakes, pour it out, and leave them open overnight to dry, but you gotta have more than one to do that.)

I use my 808's for stealth. Is there any concealable batteries with this voltage?

If you are talking small batteries at 5v, than no. Not until a significant leap forward in battery technology. But a big black battery with no led can still be stealthy. Anything can be stealthy as long as you aren't looking like you are trying to hide something and aren't blowing obnoxious clouds. I catch folks thinking they are being sly all the time. They are busted because if they think they are being sly, they are telling everyone with their body language.

i believe that eventually everything will be the size of a KR8 slim batt, once battery technology grows. and i cannot wait for that to happen.

currently the only way to get a portable PV with more voltage is a mod. box mods arent too big. i have the varicool from smoktek and it easily fits in the palm of my hand. only the carto can be seen when im vaping it. BUT there is a nice little mod, with variable voltage (!) that is currently i believe the smallest VV mod on the market. its the size of a bic lighter! amazing i do have to say. id buy one in 1 second if i could justify owning two mods....its called the little sister by Kens Box Mods.

Hola roach! I have a v2 808 kit. I'm pretty sure its the same as a v4l kit. My pass thru is 5volts. They are good for stealth vaping, as is my ego 650 mah. Its all about technique and the juice helps. I use a 24 mg pg only juice for mission critical applications, lol. Body language will make ya or break ya. I find that its easier to do sitting down than walking around. No quick movements. Take a couple of dry hits first. Good luck :)
