Thanks,

I've been using a KR8o8D-1 XL Manual Battery (it says its 3.7 v and 380mah) with High resistance carts 3.0-3.2 ohm
and I'm just not getting much flavor intensity at all - posted some pretty extensive details about this problem this in the KR8o9D-1 forum - if you can give me any tips or suggestions - I'd appreciate it: here are the details from the other post:
-
I need a strong 5 volt Manual Sealed Battery to use with Coolcarts, that will give me the same kind of strength and flavor intensity as my Manual Passthru for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour of vaping, before the flavor and intensity starts getting weak.

The Coolcarts are probably about 3.0 to 3.2 ohms. The juice I’m using is VG 60% PG 40%.
Its very thick juice.

I’ve been using a KR808D-1 XL Manual Sealed Battery (3.7 volt) with KR808D-1 Coolcarts.
The intensity of the flavor is not nearly as strong as using my 5 volt Manual Passthru.
On my fully charged KR808D-1 XL Manual Battery, The first 5-10 minutes of vaping,
the flavor and intensity is ok, but still not nearly as strong as the Passthru.
Then, After vaping 5-10 minutes, the intensity and flavor gets even weaker.
I’d say the intensity and flavor is reduced at least 50%. Its pretty weak.

I can’t take a passthru with me to use at work, so I need to get a stronger Battery – I guess at least 5 volts, that will give me the same kind of flavor and intensity of a Passthru for at least 30 minutes, preferably - 1 hour of vaping. At work, I usually vape 4 or 5 times - for 5 minutes each time.

I haven’t seen or heard of any KR808D-1 Manual 5 volt Batteries. Does anybody sell one?
Can I buy a non- KR808D-1 Battery that’s 5 volts and use an adapter so I can screw on KR808D-1 Coolcarts?

I would like to just use a bigger Battery with the Coolcarts so I don’t have to mess with a separate atty and cart like you have to do with Joye. I’ve also read that the Joye separate atty and carts can have a lot of leak problems, and also the Joye Battery is not a sealed Battery, to keep juice from getting into the Battery.

Also, I think the Joye 510 Battery is also only 3.7 volt just like my XL Manual Sealed Battery.
So I don’t see how the Joye 510 would give any stronger intensity and flavor than my XL Manual Sealed Battery.
My XL Manual Sealed Battery is 380 mah. I don’t know how many mah the Joye 510 Battery.

I think Firefly13 said in another post somewhere that they used a 6 volt Battery volt with Coolcarts. I’ve never heard of a 6 volt Battery.

I’m not all that knowledgeable about Batteries. The XL Manual Sealed Battery (3.7 volt)
Is the only Battery I’ve ever used. I don’t know much about other batteries.

I’ve heard of other models like the Joye, Riva, Reo, Boge Leo. But I think they all use a separate atty and cart instead of just the cart like the KR808D-1.

So what I’m looking for is a strong 5 volt Manual Sealed Battery that I can use Cool Carts with, that will give me 30 minutes to 1 hour of good, strong, vaping before it starts to get a lot weaker.

The high resistance carts are probably your problem. the higher the resistance, the less heat coming from the atomizer. If you like the HR carts on a 5v pass through, you may find a lower resistance cart to be fine on your KR8 battery.

As far as your other questions, just for general information:

The Joye manual batteries are sealed. While they do have standard atty/cart combo's, cartomizers are also available just like for the KR808D-1. While the Joye batteries are listed as a 3.7V device, the voltage they put out is actually a little lower.

As far as 6 volts, that is accomplished by stacking two 3V batteries together.

You may want to keep your Cool Carts with your current resistance for your pass through, and pick up some carts with a little lower resistance for your regular batteries. In the end, that combo may work fine for you and keep you from having to buy a 5V mod that you don't really need.

Travis - sounds like a smart idea - the high res Cool Carts are 3.0 -3.2 ohm. The only lo res KR808D-1 carts I've seen are 2.0 ohm from Lite Cig and they suggest you use the lo res carts on at least a 450 mah battery. I don't know why they suggest at least using their 2.0 ohm lo res carts on at least a 450 mah battery. I'm just a novice at learning some of this stuff.

The problem is my KR808D-1 XL manual battery is only 380 mah, not quite 450 mah.

I know that Joye says to use their Joye ego 1.5 ohm lo res atty on their 900 mah ego battery. They say if you use it on their 600mah battery, the lo res atty will shorten the lifespan of the battery.

So maybe lo res carts or attys need batteries with more mah or they will wear out the battery faster. That's what it sounds like.

Now my xl manual bat at 380 mah is pretty close to 450mah, only 70 mah less. Maybe it would be ok to use the lo res 2.0 ohm cart on my 380 mah battery.
