After charging this battery for close to 6 hours from a wall outlet led on charger turned green. I attached the cone and 510 standard atty to the battery and pushed the button...nothing...no power, no vapor, no light. went back to the charger and screwed battery back in led stayed green, power light flashed on battery 5 times then went solid. Unscrewed from charger light stayed solid. started to screw on atty just to test it and atty went hot. tried pushing the button 5 times, tried hitting battery into my hand, no effect. this battery just stays on untill it runs itself dry. This was a good battery untill today, any chance of resurrection or should i toss it?

My first reaction was: What is a 650 mAh Riva? The well-known East Mall Riva (sold by such suppliers as Liberty-Flights, Vapor Junction, and BreezEsmokes) is 750 mAh (or 1100 mAh longer version).

This 650 mAh "Riva" is a knock-off, probably by Shenzhen Kemeile Technology (KME or KML), which also manufactures an "Ego" and DSE808 "janty" e cigarette. This "Riva" probably is the one sold by, for example, Digital Ciggz, which states: "Warranty: This Starter Kit is a *clearance* Item and is sold as an AS IS product." [NOTE: This is not meant as a criticism of respected supplier Digital Ciggz. In fact, I commend their upfront warning.]

So ... I wouldn't count on its resurrection. I recommend the real Riva, which actually is quite inexpensive, e.g., either $30 (for the ~3.3V "Lite Bundle") or $35 (for the true 3.7V "Special Edition) from Liberty Flights ... or, the 1100 mAh version for $50 from Vapor Junction.

Sounds like the switch is compromised. A few things to try:

    - check the battery end and center post for ejuice gunk build up - clean with Qtip and take a toothpick to the area between the center post and the outside ring - isopropyl or 151 vodka. Rinse with water if you use isopropyl. Do the same with the atty, and the charger (unplugged).

    - Some have had success by tapping batteries on the led end (in this case the non-atty end of the battery - probably moves any ejuice off the contact when it works.

    - you could try spraying some battery cleaner in and around the manual switch.

Try recharging the battery and use a different atomizer this time.
