Drozd, did you really mean two 3.7v
batteries? Just checking...I haven't attempted anything higher than 6v. I was under the impression it wasn't a good idea.
Is there a Chuck review on these
batteries:
UltraFire 880 mAh Protected Rechargeable Battery RCR123a Compatible
I thought I saw one but can't find it now.
yeah I meant two 3.7V batteries....but let me clarify and say that I only mean that with a 5.2Ω HV atty....
When you look at the way everything is inter-related as far as battery mAh ratings, max drain ratings, Amp draw and Wattage go.. there's really about only 3 batteries I'd buy..
for 3.7V...just about any of the 18650 size
for 6V...the AW 3V LiFePo4
and for 7.4V...the AW 3.7V high drain IMR 16340
(and using HV atties to bring the wattage down at 6V or 7.4...or using a carto at 6V....and vice versa uing a LR atty at 3.7V)
EDIT: those are the only batteries as far as 6V and 7.4V that the max drain rate on the batteries are sufficient to meet the Amp draw of any of our atties at that voltage without overstressing the batteries
As far as those batteries it depends on what atty and configuration you're running them at...but they have a max drain rate of <1.32A
now lets examine different configurations with that battery and amp draw
3.7V...with a LR atty....2.47A
3.7V...with a 510 atty..1.61A
3.7V...with a carto.......1.23A
7.4V..with a HV atty.....1.42A
so a single one of those at 3.7V is just barely sufficient to power a carto..but it's close and won't overstress it...but it will stress it..
