just make sure you get plenty of extra coils/heads so when you need them you have-um....some last for weeks when maintained properly and some go bad overnight, there are alot of factors involved.....when vapor production becomes noticeably different to you (less), leaking Tank (juice on your batt post), diff taste; it's time to change them out.....take your old ones and throw them in a pill bottle or something & soak and shake (distilled water) then let them dry...and save them for hard times, you might get a little more use out of them....

Thanks for the tip. I have tried to replace the wicks in these but it seems like a poor attempt at owning a rebuildable. I've tried the dry burn thing to but I just seem to burn them. I'm hoping the dual coil in the pt3 is my fix.

You can rebuild bases if you want--I do. The rebuilt base has about the same lifespan as the original did, it's not difficult to do (it takes me about 10 minutes per head, but my vision is poor), and mine tend to outperform the originals.

Hey there, and welcome to the forums. I'm not one of the tech-savvy ones here, and just usually drop my coils in water to soak overnight and then let them dry when they don't perform well. I can sometimes get a little more use from them that way. I have the Evod clearomizers, and the coils for them are inexpensive, so I mostly just replace them when they get bad. A buck or so for a fresh coil is not much, compared to what I was spending on cigarettes!

Glad you are enjoying vaping, and happy to have you aboard.:)

In not too savvy on the whole ohms voltage gauge to wraps stuff yet. I know I can do it but I need to do some homework and get something to tell me what my coil is at right?

Pretty much. You'll need a tester of some sort (I use a full electrical tester, some use the screw-on type that only tests atomizers). That would at least give you a guess as to your current resistance, which tends to rise during any coil's use time.
