801 and 510 passthrough adapter

What's the scoop with the pt's? The 801 pt works anywhere I choose, with any adapter, yet when I change over to the 510 it will only work plugged into my computer. Does the 510 pt take more power to operate than the 801? So I'm stuck here next to my HP while using my 510. Anyone have successful method of powering the 510 without a computer?

hmmmmm.... weird .... What were the other devices you were using the 801 PT on?

I mostly use the Eforcity and ipod travel chargers, those work great as long as I'm using the 801, just not the 510. I don't get it.

Do you have any 510 pt adapters that work with a simple travel charger?
