Hi,

I started with a 901, I could use one cart without having to change the filling for about a week, just keep topping off.

I recieved a new 801 a little over a week ago and it seems that the stuffing is no good halfway through the day and I have to restuff atleast once a day, is this normal. It seems I can't keep the stuffing from pulling deeper in the cartridge and having to pull it up about every third of fourth puff. I have tried using less stuffing, more stuffing, nothing changes the outcome, anyone having the same experience or have any advice on how to keep it from sinking into the cartridge so much? I'm using the fish filters as stuffing, they worked great with my 901, not so much with the 801, seems after a while it started kind of getting torn apart at the top (probably from constantly pulling it up).

Thanks,
Debra

If you have an atomizer with a high-bridge (that silver thing that sticks up over the atomizer heating coil), it will push the stuffing further into the cartridge than some other penstyle models. The thing to remember about penstyle devices is they like smoking juice, so topping off frequently is quite common.

The 801 stuffing from you pre-filled cartridges should last for a few weeks. Re-stuffing is far from a perfect science. In fact, the amount of poly-fill from the factory is inconsistant from cart to cart. You will have to experiment to find what works best for you. A few other filler materials to try include tea bags (less the tea, of course), coffee filters, tampons (no joke, some have tried this) and spun poly batting material from a fabric store.

The atomizer bridge is very good about snagging loose stuffing. If you replace and remove the cart often, you should probably pick out any loose material from the atomizer bridge. Occassionally, the stuffing may stay in the atomizer when you remove the cart. All normal, in my experience. When re-stuffing a cart, try to minimize the 'wild hairs' on the atomizer end.

New Bern, huh? Still the home of Hatteras?

for the advice. I'll try the suggestions. It's definitely not an exact science, these filters, just thought someone would have some suggestions on how it may have worked better for them.

New Bern, yeah, not really home of hatteras, we're about three hours away, 45 from Atlantic Beach (but home of Pepsi, lol). I've only been here three years, from VA originally, but love it here.

Thanks again everyone.
