Where to get empty 510 carts? Or can you just empty a pre-filled one and refill it? Or uh?

I picked up a 510 from the widow after doing my due diligence forum research, and picked up a sampler kit from Johnson Creek -- however, the sampler kit contains lots of neat things, but doesn't have any 510 compatible carts (or if one of those suckers will fit, it will look totally silly with a black battery/atty :)

I can't say that I'm a huge fan of the chinese marlboro flavored carts that came with the 510 starter kit -- they're okay, but they're kind of like nutrasweet-flavored tobacco, it tastes "wrong" -- and I would rather vape something sweet that's supposed to be sweet than that weirdo flavor.

Aaaanyway. Is it going to turn "kinda weird" into "totally gross" if I top those things off with another flavor? Should I pull the stuffing out of one, squeeze it dry with a syringe and then refill? Pull the stuffing out of one, and just refill it with poly stuffing a la wal-mart?

I'm having difficulty not smoking analogs so far because of the ease, but I imagine that once I get used to this thing that it'll be less of a bother to vape versus just grabbing a cigarette and going outside. :)

You can go with any of the options you mentioned.

I also ordered my first kit from the Widow and didn't like the Marlboro carts that came with it, so I immediately topped them off with some menthol, and they got much more tolerable. Flavor-wise, some liquids will be better than others for that - any of the tobacco flavors, menthol, vanilla, caramel, etc. Not sure if the fruity flavors would do the trick, but the worst that can happen is it tastes bad, and you have to rinse out your filler and start again.

Just take the polyfill out of the cartridge, rinse under warm water until it turns white, pat dry, restuff, and refill with the liquid of your choice. You CAN replace the polyfill if you want, but it will probably be good for a few days. I replace mine a couple times a week, when it starts to get too compacted and no longer wicks liquid effectively.

I use Pyramid Tea Bags (nylon -- from Lipton) instead of the carts because of annoying burning fibers, but the concept is the same.

Extract any remaining juice if you want, then rinse them out, tap dry on a paper towel, reinsert and refill. I do this about 1-2 times a day as oxygen degrades nicotine and it ensures a clean taste.

Hang in there, vaping has a learning curve....at least it did for me. It took me a couple of days to get the hang of the manual battery and a short (1 second) pre-heat before I took a draw on the cart. I've only been vaping for a week, but I love it and don't miss the analogs. Good luck! :)

if your looking to stock up on blank carts (really no need you can use the same plastic over and over just change the filler) DIETSMOKES.com has great deals and awesome shipping, I recommend the whistle tips, I was skeptical at first but they are AWESOME!
I 2nd that & if you become a regular customer, sometimes there might be extra goodies in your order.
