If everything is working perfectly, it shouldn't effect the amount of vapor. Unfortunately, things don't always work perfect. I use a connector with my GLV2 and have had the following problems: center post not making good contact with carto, adaptor falling apart, liquid getting into the center hole and pushing the brass pin down too far on the GLV2 itself, such that it won't fire it's native carto:( Ugg! I'm starting to hate adaptors:blink:

okay thank you :)

The 5.0v battery electronicstix sells is rated at 600 mah. For many (most?) people, that roughly translates to between 5 and 7 hours of good vaping. And, that battery will work in pretty much any mod that will accept an 18650 battery. You could go with practically any tube mod that will hold that size batt. There are several less expensive ones and many more expensive ones. I linked to that one just because its price is somewhere in the middle of the road and it is a nice looking mod.

i agree it looks a lot better than some of those bigger box mods. i dont mind spending 75-100 for it. ty for the help.

i can not see how the mobo would die since most auto shutdown in case of low power. i am a network admin with my bach and i doubt that a 5v drain would hurt the mobo. now draining the power supply down and possibly causing that to over heat and shutdown the PC, i could see.
i actually did this, had my passthrew plugged into my laptop and was vaping away, not even for that long and all of the sudden my laptop shut down and my passthrew has worked maybe 3 times since and is completely out of commision now, only 4 days old.
but you could use a passthrew with a portable usb charger rated at 1 amp or over if you wanted to be mobile and didn't want a real mod. dunno if youd wanna do this compared to a mod but it would work

was your laptop running on its battery? Then i could see more of an issue there, but to fry a mobo due to lack of power is something that i have never seen. most bios have fail safes for temp and power. if the power or temp raises, it will shut down, not destroy.

i could see the power problem cause issues with the PT as well. again i am not an electrician lol

Murphey's Law of electronics : The $$$$ mobo will always blow first to protect the $0.02 fuse.

ya luckily, my laptop just shut down. heart was pounding thinking i fried my mother board till i pressed the power button n turned it back on, but pt worked a couple times since and now is completely dead

This was my exact point to a previous poster. But I think my comments just angered them.

A good alternative to wimpy power supplies, give you all the power you should ever need
for any atty / carto made :D-Link Jta0302C Power Supply Ac Adapter 5V 3A

Until someone repeals Ohm's law, if you try to draw more amps than available,
with a constant resistance, the voltage has to drop... :)

The politicians will get around to trying to repeal it sooner or later....:laugh:
