I keep chasing you around and answering your posts. Really, I'm not a stalker!

I have both the 650 mAh and the 900 mAh. The 900 does last longer than the 650. I can't say if it's 30% more or not since I've not timed it, but they do last longer. Other benefits? Not really. I just don't like thinking I might run out of batteries so tend to have plenty with me and the 950, since it does last longer, is almost always with me when I go out.

Hi.. i saw that in the joye Ego Starters kit u get 650 mAh batterys,

and on heaven-gift.com they sell 900 mAh, does it any better?..

it lets u use for 30% more?...

its have other benefits?...

can it harm the Ego somehow?... (to much Volt or something)?....

thanks :)

The atty will only draw the current it needs from the battery. The resistance of the atty coil determines the current drawn from the battery. Current=voltage/resistance (I=E/R)

The benefit is that a higher milliamp per hour battery can supply your atty for a longer period of time before charging. Your atty will draw the same current from the battery given the same voltage, but for a longer period. My 650mah ego batts are giving me 9 or 10 hours of use, sometimes more, depending on how often and how hard I vape.

I haven't timed any of my batteries because I think saying they'll last X amount of time is a fallacy. Will it last the same amount of time if I chain vape the entire time as it will when I'm working and only vape once in a while? Of course not. So, how long it will last, as measured in time, isn't an accurate question. The question really should be how many drags you can get from a battery, but even that has huge variables as everyone drags differently.

but you can get a fairly close approximation...
if you take the amp draw of the atty you're using and divide that by the mAh rating of the battery it'll give you the C rating (rate of discharge)
divide 60 by the C rate and you'll get minutes..divide that by 60 and you'll gets seconds (of continuous opperation) and then divide that by 3 or 5 (or however long your average drag is) and that'll give you a rough guesstimate of how many drags you can get out of it

Since the 900 mAh mega eGO mAh batteries are not sold as part of a kit (at least yet), why not start with the regular 650 mAh eGO kit ... or consider the 750 mAh Riva (which is less expensive and may even be better, from what I have read). If you like the size of the standard eGO or Riva and its mAh meets your needs, stick with it. Otherwise move up to the larger 900 mAh mega eGO (or even larger 1000 mAh mega Tornado) batteries, which, I understand, are compatible with the Riva cone and charger.

They are all 3.2-3.4V (I've read varying reports), although that is nominal voltage. All batteries start out at a higher voltage fully charged, then drop down to a minimum before demanding recharge. [Compare the first several puffs of a freshly charged battery to the last several puffs.] The higher the mAh, the longer the battery stays at the higher end of the range.

Well, yes, I could do those calculations. I'm not going to, but I could. :p

I do math for a living. I choose not to do it in my hobbies unless absolutely necessary. All I need to know is that when I leave the house, if I have four or five eGos with me, I'm set for longer than I'll be gone. I don't even have to take off my shoes to figure it out, either!

lol....yeah...i did that to figure out optimal mod batteries...though I must admit with the eGo it gets sloppy and seems to not be real accurate since they use the pulse modulation on the batteries.. simple math sure..but when it comes to physics I kinda not do that either...

lol...guess I'm more tolerant to it though...my real job I don't have to do a lot of math (just some) and well finess is applied with a sledgehammer or torch....
so doing a bit of math in my free time so I don't go full out cro-magnon is a good thing..

I'm not sure what the atty actually is able to draw from the 650mah or the 900mah per hour battery. I do know that ohms law is based on theoretical numbers. That being the case, theoretically a 2.5ohm atty will attempt to draw 2 amps from a 5v source or 1.48 from a 3.95 (typical charged Ego battery voltage) source. Whether that battery can deliver power at that rate is something else. There have been posts where people actually read the voltage from various batteries and compared. The higher mah batts delivered higher voltage to the atty coils.

To answer the question, a 900mah should last longer between charges than a 650mah. How much longer is subjective. If you carry two, you can bet on being able to go all day dawn to dark, provided you don't vape every minute of the day. Carry a USB charger with an AC and a DC adapter and feel safer (grin).
