Ok, Now Ive already made sure all the threads are clean and all that jazz, so you can nix that. Any who, one of my bats will only work if its just barely screwed on. When I take a pull on my bat, the slightest draw makes it come on, now even with the bat barely screwed on I have to take a hell of a drag. Whta could cause this? Ive also blown out my atty.

JerriB, not sure if I've understood the problem correctly, so I'm going to re-state to make sure:

You initially had a problem with one of your batteries having an extremely sensitive connection to the atomizer where you barely needed to thread them together to get the battery to work. That battery also showed extreme sensitivity by only needing the lightest draw to activate it. Now, the battery is very difficult to activate regardless of whether you screw it on to the atomizer completely or just a little bit like before.

This would make me think your battery was defective from the get go. Possibly the center portion (the positive side) of the battery connection was not seated properly at the factory which would allow you to create a connection by not having to fully screw an atomizer on it. Now that you've screwed you atomizer on and off it several times, it may have moved that center connector and might possibly causing it to short out. (The positive pole is shielded from the negative outer side by a flimsy rubber ring) This could also have led to the burning out of your atomizer.

From my experience with the 901, those auto batteries can be pretty finicky. It sounds like you have some liquid in the battery switch. It is one of the reasons so many of us have moved on to the manual batteries. I know you can get manual batteries for the 901 now.

But if you really want consistency and no battery issues, I would suggest getting a PV that uses RCR123a batteries. There just are not any issues with these batteries.

maybe the rubber ring has melted, or is squished inside abit, causing the positive post to touch the negative side occasionally. screwing it on & off changes the seating of the positive post, which could be why it's hit or miss when you vape. look to see if the center pin is perfectly seated in the center, not touching the wall. the slightest touch will short.

What i started doing on my 901 atty's was putting a couple drops in the new atty before taking the first drag.

I've read that running the atty dry is bad. So taking the first drag while dry would be bad too I guess.

I can take a 1-2 second drag and get a massive throat hit using 36mg liquid.

I have been puting a drop down in the atty a couple times a day just for the hell of it.

I've only been doing this for maybe 3 months now max and got really frustrated a couple weeks ago.

I'm going to make it work 'cause I'm a stuborn SOB.

Sorry for another post. I cant seem to find the "edit" button.

Regarding the problem with getting the battery to fire up and having to suck real hard:

I sometimes have to slightly unscrew the battery and re-tighten it to get it to work.

I cant figure out why but I just do it. Not every battery does this so I just figure that some batteries are lame and others are good.

Some atty's are lame as well.

I'm thinking maybe 70 work. It's still cheaper than analogs.
