I felt I had to come and thank everyone here for all the excellent advice (I've been lurking here for the last few weeks now), thanks to you all I've been off the cigs for three weeks now and don't even feel the need for one anymore, this makes me so happy I have young children and was always worrying about not being around for them if I carried on smoking, I've tried giving up so many times and failed, I started smoking when I was 13 and am now 40 so have smoked for alot of years. I started my journey with a ciggy look alike which only lasted for one day didn't like the taste of it at all, luckily my o/h liked them so he's using it at the moment, being dissapointed with the flavour I hit the internet and found you guys which led me to purchase a riva and some yummy flavours which I adore.....still needing a bit more umph to my vape though....more research on here led me to purchase a lavatube and wow I'm in love such a satisfying vape all that warmth and the flavour explosion is superb, I daren't go out in public with it yet though so my riva comes along with me on trips out.

Now for some questions

One thing that worries me reading through some posts about plastic bottles leaching into the juice (does this really happen), can anyone point me in the direction of some UK vendors that sell juice in glass bottles.

And also I love the ease of using cartos but don't like the constant topping up of them (I vape constantly at the moment, so much so that if I get shaky from too much nicotine I swap to a lower nic juice and keep on vaping:ohmy: hehe) I've tried the stardust clearomizers but then read about the plastic leaching and cracking so stopped using it, clearomizers appeal to me more than tanks but do any come in anything other than plastic, I saw some pyrex tanks for sale on a US vendors site but tanks worry me as I've heard they can be slippy, I'd hate to have one slip off a carto and leak everywhere....is there anything out there that will hold a ton of liquid that isn't plastic and is bomb proof.

Thank you again everyone your all stars.

I have a couple of phiniac tanks on order. All reviews from people that live them have no slippage. In fact some say it's hard to even get caps off at times. I have a few smoktech tanks and I can assure you they are NOT stable. Stay away from them. There will be other posts here with suggestions. Also I have a couple of j-tanks and they are stable with no slippage.

Congrats on your achievement and enjoy success.

Thanks yankeebobo, I'll look into those....how easy is it to top the tanks back up again, is it messy and something that can't easily be done when your out, do you get any leakage with tanks when refilling...sorry if they are daft question but I'm clueless on everything at the moment.

I use both Phiniac pyrex tanks and Smoktech tanks. I fill them at home before I go out with them. They hold a lot of juice. I do not have any leaking period with my tanks, never have. If you use flanged cartos the tanks cannot slip down off the carto and leak.

I do not EVER take the tops off my tanks. I use a Slap Yo Mama which fits into the the open end of the carto while it's in the tank (take off drip tip, put on SLM), push the carto down into the tank, tip the top edge to the side and fill with a bottle. Normal dripper bottle works just fine. I do not ever fill it all the way to the top, I have no wish to flood the carto by overfilling the tank and forcing juice into the hole in the carto.

If you are really worried about running out of juice, fill another tank or two, put a drip tip on them and slip them into a pill bottle large enough to hold them, put the cap on and you're good to go. I routinely carry my filled tanks this way on a trip.

One size fits my Smoktech tanks and my clear Phiniacs, the other size fits my colored Phiniacs, I use tall boys and they are a tad wider in the colored versions. Both fit quite nicely each in their own bottle, drip tip included, do not get jostled about and are kept clean and protected during the outing.

A word about polycarbonate tanks cracking, fogging, melting. It's caused by juices. This forum has a list of the juices that will cause problems in polycarbonate tanks. If any of those flavorings are on my list of things I use in DIY I put those juices in Phiniac tanks, not Smoktechs or other iterations of polycarbonate like Stardusts, etc.

Juice bottles are not made of polycarbonate and therefore do not leech into juices.

Thanks Fiamma, I'm loving those tips.

hehe yes I've seen that list it's getting big now, I'd rather not have to trawl through a list everytime I'm ordering juices to know if my stardust would hold up to it though, I'd like something I know will just work with everything.....I'm guessing you can't can't get clearomizers in anything other than plastic then as everyone is talking tanks.
