So I asked this crotchety looking woman at the stop smoking table with all of her horrible pictures of damaged lungs what she thinks about vaping....
"What's that?"
I decided to frame my answer in terms of cessation, rather than try to talk about all the reasons people do it.
"So it is that smoking alternative with the fake cigarettes where you just inhale vapor."
"Well I don't know anything about it but its full of chemicals."
"Actually, not really. You've probably heard about the test on 'cigalikes' made in China. They have no quality control there. American companies, typically independently owned, and the community of vapors, are quite careful and thoughtful about the 3 ingredients that go in there and some studies suggest there may be zero chemicals on exhale."
"Well the FDA hasn't tested and approved it because it is not safe."
Suddenly she thinks she knows a LOT about it.
I chime back, "Studies should be done by independent researchers who do not have an agenda on either side. The FDA is in the process of research and many other smaller studies have been done."
(VERY pompously) "Well, the bottom line is its all just addictive behavior and needs to be stopped."
(calmly) "Nicotine on its own is hardly addictive. I stopped smoking. My lungs won't look like that. And you can Vape without nicotine. In fact many people with asthma can breathe better for several hours after vaping." (pointed to the models)
"Wouldn't it just be easier to use your inhaler?"
"With all those chemicals and medications in them? Right."
She scowls, and tsks, and I saunter off only to find another smoking cessation gal from another clinic who, by the end of our conversation, wrote down the locations of the Vape shops in and around seattle because she was really excited. Lol. But man that woman was a beast!

Trying to educate the stuck on stupid is always a tough battle. People like that see only one color and what ever you say or prove they refuse to change their way of thinking. Good work Deykealiscious.

So FYI anyone looking for an inexpensive, genuine and unique mod, I got my sigelei 24. Its pretty cool. There's a removable button guard and a carabiner. It fires wonderfully and has an airflow ring. Telescopic and fits a kick. The only drawback is they designed the top cap airflow ring to be slightly domed so no atty will sit flush on it. Also, if you take the whole cap off there's threading on the inside and more center pin...I'm guessing there are atomizers somewhere that fit like this instead of the 510 screw, so that's neat.

Got mine from kidney punched for $30. Not a lot of places to find them, but I think its pretty sexy and a good option for if you want a mod you can bang up.

We missed you!

Correction, it is not kick compatible. And I'm thinking the secondary cap with internal threads might be a well to install a different cap on it. I may have to do that.

Thanks Ducky glad to hear your enjoying them that's what counts. Thank you for spreading the word I really appreciate it:) I am also happy to see that your starting to build some coils. :)
Thank you for creating flavors that I truly love :) I have tasted many flavors from different vendors that were good, and I gave good reviews because they were good but I have never made them a part of my adv, but your flavors are the only ones that I have actually put into my daily rotation and adv :) I want others who have not tasted your flavors to taste them and spread the word!
I am so pumped about making my own coils!

Yea, she soumds like a very difficult woman! Its funny how she knew nothing about vaping, but then all of a sudden she knew everything. Some people.......
I am so happy you gave it right back to her and did not back down! My parents support me vaping and tell everyone how good it is and how it saved my life (they are awesome like that!). Well, they told my sisters fiance about it and he said it was dangerous and had chemicals in it (BTW, he uses tobacco). My parents told him it actually didnt have chemicals in it and that I make my own eliquids and know exactly what I am putting in it. They are awesome! Of course I was furious when they told me what he said! So, when I meet him eventually, I plan to explain vaping to him :) So, I am thrilled you took up for vaping against accusations made by someone that knows nothing about vapi g! YaY you!
