One battery is pretty much brand new and the other is older. I am using one of the batteries right now and it seems fully charged. My problem is the charger will not turn green when they are fully charged. I totally forgot about this; A while back my charger was doing this same thing, so I cleaned it really good and slightly lifted the pin. I keep my contacts on my charger and batteries pretty clean, but I went a head and cleaned them all again yesterday. I just wonder if it is getting worn out. I have used it everyday sonce november no less than once a day. Maybe I should slightly lift the pins on my batteries? I have a tendency of rolling a papertowel up and twisting it into the batteries, not hard or anything, but I guess it could possibly push the pin down after it is done quite a few times :) I baby my stuff so I just hate when something gives me problems! Lol
I am the same way about babying my stuff....I hate it when it goes wonky....I use a regular AAA battery charger with regular batteries and sometimes it does the same thing....I have to adjust the points to make full contact...Did you check your batteries with an OHM meter? With some of my first ones for my original modbox were just awful at holding a charge...

I do not have an ohm meter :( I just hate it so much! My batteries have been working perfectly, so I do not think it is the batteries. I think I need to get a new charger. I am very pleased with how long this charger has made it though! The charger turns red when I twist it onto the batteries, but it just acts like it is not charging as fast as it should. I had my battery on charge from around 7AM to 1 PM and the charger had still not turned green. This happened a while back but I got it charging right again right away, but my attempt this time just does not seem to be cutting it....lol

The pin is pretty immobile on both counts I think. Ego style batteries I have never seen float though I suppose there's ones that might and pins on attys are generally adjustable by screw or in the case of standard tanks you might be able to adjust the pin out of the rubber grommet but usually screwing it on the battery pushes it back in. Idk...show me your charger, I suspect I have a spare.

Well. That was, as trips almost exactly halfway around the world go, rather uneventful!

Fly to Thailand, dogs, luggage (with Vamo, MVP2, Spinner, eGo sticks, two Aeros, three Evods, spare heads, and about 100mL of liquid) and mental state (in descending order of importance) intact - check.

Cancel cellular service - check, after much wailing, gnashing of teeth, rending of hair, arguing with disembodied 'customer support' drones, and finally paying the damn early termination fee to just be RID of this horrible company which shall remain nameless but rhymes with 'hay, tea and tea' - CHECK.

Reestablish internet connectivity - check.

Settle into new digs, learn immediate neighborhood - check(ish). Still have to sample the street food carts, but it's not a bad place to live. Loud. But good food nearby, good shopping nearby, easy access to some surprisingly world-class public transport. Haven't found anything I'll have a hard time purchasing on the local economy....other than vape gear and liquid. There are supposedly some B&M vendors with stocks 'in the back,' but I'm not at that point yet. If my main shipment of liquids (1.2 Liters total) takes too long or (heaven forbid) is seized, then it's onto the local economy and hope for the best.

Test a few vendors for APO compatibility and ability/willingness to engage in creative customs form labeling - next step.

How's things back in 'Murica?

Sounds like a new beginning and a lot of fun for you. Are you able to mix with the crowd or do you stand out like a sore thumb? I bet the food is pretty good. Please tell us more as time goes on, I find it very interesting. I have been shipping to a few soldiers in different countries so ordering through us shouldn't be an issue. Hope you stay safe.

Well, it looks like I need to get another charger for my smoktech 900mah batteries (510/ego threaded batteries). I had to get 1 anyways, because I am going to start my oldest sister vaping :) , but now that mine is not charging properly I have to get 2! Lol I have had this one since around November 2013, and have used it daily. So, it has lasted a long time without any problems. It turns red when I twist it on the batteries, but it will not turn green saying if it is charged. It is charging, but not fully. Anything I should try guys?

I have a bag of them just laying around. Made by Kanger. I was sent them by mistake. Let me know if you need some ducky

I went in to Mad Town Vape's B&M location today and was met by the sweetest woman. I apologize as I forgot her name (Kathy?). She was awesome and walked me through all of the different flavors. I tried almost every single one and learned a lot about what I do and don't like in a liquid (how can people like ry4?!). I was there for a good while and not once did I feel unwelcome.

Both her and Dino were extremely knowledgeable and super friendly. I ended up picking up 4 15mL flavors, a Pro Tank 2 mini and some coils for <$40! That is a totally unheard of deal anywhere in Madison! I will most definitely be coming back when I need some wick and kanthal wire (30 ft for $3.99!) or tasty tasty juice. If you get in some eGo->510 adapters I would definitely pick up one of those too!

As sparse as the store currently is as it was only recently opened the items they do have are all top notch! The mech mod he showed earlier looks even better in person if a bit sharp around the edges.

My only complaint is that the address and hours aren't prominently displayed on the site. It'd be nice if that was at a glance somewhere.

You were so lucky to get to Dino's store! Welcome to this thread!

So glad you made it to your destination somewhat intact! Being a foodie myself, I can NOT wait to hear about your eating escapades! (And maybe some more juice reviews as well? pweeeze?) Have fun my man! 'Murica will be waiting for your return!

The back of the charger says:
Model: USB-A
Input: DC 5V
output: DC 4.2V 420mah

I use it to charge my smoktech 900mah battery (the battery attached to the charger in the picture)
I do not want you to feel like you have to give me charger if you have an extra one :) You are so nice :)

I stick out, but not as much as I thought. I am.....industrial sized, let's say, and have blond hair and blue eyes, so I don't look at ALL like a local or even regional type. However, there are enough western folks here in BKK that I could be a diplomat, a businessman, or a tourist - nobody knows or seems to care much.

The food is AH-MAY-ZING. I've tried street food, restaurant food, name it. It's all good. Perhaps the most surprising thing is the quality of Italian food available here - there are some truly good pizza places within walking distance of our apartment! One generally pays "US prices" for that kind of food, as opposed to "Thai prices" for street food and at the smaller restaurants. The dollar goes a LONG way here, especially if you avoid the touristy or trendy locations.

I have more or less reliable internet, so I'll definitely stay in touch and provide updates.

Thanks!

I think the reviews will have to trend more toward pairings and thoughts on the food - I can get liquid here, but until I truly determine the reliability of APO and the level of hassle I might or might not get from local officials I'm going to stick with what I know. The legality of vaping here is kind of nebulous - there are no laws specific to vaping so they tend to default to nic liquid being regulated like a legal but restricted drug, which essentially means it's a crap shoot any time you try to import it. From what I've read on other forums, it's a matter of what the specific official feels like doing on the specific day - ignore it, demand a bribe, seize it, you never know.

I've always wondered how traveling with vape gear is. I fear they will think them explosive devices LOL.

Haven't yet had a problem at airport security. I keep all my devices and batteries (separate) in my carryon, with bigger liquid bottles in my checked baggage. TSA has yet to bat an eye.

I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. It's heartbreaking to lose a family member, but I take solace (and you should) in knowing you were there to hold her as she passed on. She was clearly loved, and anyone who thinks she didn't know that and return it simply doesn't understand how to share life with a companion of any kind.

can someone please explain how to top fill the 3.1 clone ? ... I've overfilled it 3 times now

I don't want to use a syringe ... Dino said he fills from the top ... I just don't know how to do it, without a mess

once enough leaks out the breather, or I empty some, the clone works fine ... very good taste

it is, as Dino said it would be, a slightly better, more intense flavor than using a Kanger Aerotank Mega

still, very similar in flavor ... the trade off for me is simplicity, ease of filling ... the q-tip technique allows me to fill the mega almost completely full, it looks full when upright ... q-tip thru the drip tip hole, fill 'er up, screwing in the base pushes out the q-tip, no leaks at all

I've no prob building coils, my first was 28 ga at 1.7, then a 26 ga at 1.1, using rayon, vaped great after it finished leaking :)

any help would be appreciated

Assemble it all except top cap and DT. Hold your finger over the air hold and fill, a little into the top threads. I have my DT and topI cap together, then screw the top on until the o ring touches the tank section, flip upside-down, release finger from the hole and tighten top cap up.
