Anyone have any big plans for the longer weekend?

I plan on winning an MVP2 ;)

I'm still regretting going with the itaste v3 over the mvp when I started, but there's something about the boxes that I just can't get over - it's probably the box, lol.
The ZNA30/50 seem like they might be a nice in-between, but I've never seen a real one so it's hard to be sure.

Sorry, changed the prize to the Kamry Robot mod

Soooo... I just finished off a coil that I made with some 30G Kanthal that I picked up from Dino while I was at his shop. Switched out with a coil I had cleaned and rewicked that still has some of my 28G Kanthal on it... And it's horrible. Using Strawberry Mango and the flavor is sooo muted it's nearly not worth vaping as it is. Going to have to pick up some 30G from TEMco tomorrow.

BTW: For those who aren't in the know... I rebuild Kanger Protank 2 coils using (not for long) 28 gauge kanthal and cotton. I've been thinking about switching it to 30 or 32 because my figuring comes out that the thinner wire will heat up faster. Grabbed a few inches of Dino to test it out because I'm too cheap to just buy a roll... for science...

What gear are you using and what's your resistance and nicotine level

We're leaving early tomorrow morning to see the kids and grandchildren. Camping with them for a few days, then to their house for another few days. Home on the evening of Sept. 6. Not sure of the internet situation while we are gone though.

Sorry, made a stealth edit... Using a Protank 3, Protank 2 atomizers, air flow control valve on an MVP2. I also run a Mini Protank 3 on a eGo with the same Protank 2 heads.

Edit: ... Micro I guess.... 3/32 diameter with 8 wraps on 28 gauge... About 6 wraps on 30 gauge. (Shooting for about 1.8ish ohms)

Are they brand new hey heads or have you been used for a while I like y protanks but I don't think the flavor is as good as some other devices when you say its horrible what do you mean and what are your own ohms for the

Well, to save cost I will pull the cotton on used coils, soak them in rubbing alcohol, dry burn, dust them off a bit then clean the coils with a pipe cleaner dipped in alcohol and then dry burn one more time before I rewick and set them aside to be used.

I have already tried a different coil to see if the first coil wasn't cleaned well enough and the flavor was still muted. I'm still working on my second cleaned coil and it's coming about a little bit but it's still not as good as the used 30 gauge coil. My next step is to try a fresh never used 28 gauge coil just to see if I was not paying attention or something when I cleaned my last batch of coils. But I'm probably sure the taste difference is because of the kanthal I'm using.

You know, I'd start with a FRESH coil and see of that helps. Even alcohol can leave a residue. And coils wil go bad after a while. They just won't taste good. The reason I ask about your ohms is because protanks don't perform very well under 1.5 ohms. AND if you're at high nic with lower resistences it can gunk up the flavor.
