How do I go about this so not to bore you to tears? I'm almost shaking here. Here's the deal. You gotta hear me out though so please don't skip ahead. Sorry to ask that of you. I'll try to be quick.

I asked a question about deciding between a 510 and an eGo. The eGo won but not by much. No matter what happens, I am getting an eGo. Here's the kicker. I really want a 510. So I was messing around at liberty-flights and I'm at a 13 cent difference and I'm pulling my hair out!

13 cents!!Please hear me out.

In one cart, I have a standard eGo starter kit (/w 2 650mah batteries). I wanted the 510 so I added a 510 battery and a 510 charger. Sweet. That should be all right? I've come to the conclusion that the only thing about the eGo that's different is the battery and a cone... I might be wrong. Don't kill me :/

In another cart, I decided to start out with the 510 starter kit. Now I had to assemble an eGo cig. So I add 1 900mah battery (40% longer life compared to the 650's) and I added a cone for an official eGo look. I decided to keep the 510 charger to charge the eGo. It takes longer *but* it's safer than vice-versa.

BOOM! 13 cents!.

The only reason I decided to play with my carts like this was because of how compatible the 510 and eGo are except when it comes to charging. In cart 1, I didn't want two chargers laying around and by even the slightest mistake damaging the 510. But it's safe albeit longer to charge the eGo using the 510 charger...

Right now, I am happy with either cart will most likely get me starting out with both of the e-cigs I had my eyes on. I believe the 510's would make my wife happy and I believe the eGo would make me happy...

No matter which cart I choose though we should both be happy, right? Both carts have everything needed for either e-cig.... I'm personally in favor of cart 2 with the 900mah battery. What are your opinions? Am I bugging out? Just trying to make my first purchase satisfying.

Or am I wrong and I am missing something here?

I wouldnt want to charge a 900mah ego batt on a 510 charger. So add the Ego charger. You will need extra attys so add 2 of those. Now maybe it would be a better deal to just order a 510 kit and an Ego kit.Its not a huge price difference and for 2 people you will have what you need.If your going to give up cigs, you need the proper tools to do that with.2 people,2 kits. You can share and see who likes what.

Well....I'd rather have two 650 eGo batteries than one 900 eGo battery. And...I'd rather have the eGo rapid charger than to have to charge the *single* eGo battery I had for twice as long. The first basket is the better deal as far as I'm concerned. Except you will need two 510 batteries if you're trying to get a kit out of it for the wife too. So....neither basket is perfect. With the first basket, you will only have 2 atomizers between you (what if one dies??) and your wife will only have one battery..... In the second basket, you'll be standing in line for the charger, and you'll only have one battery....and you'll still only have two atomizers between you. I know money's tight, but they call them starter kits because you need everything in them to get one person started. I'd suggest just biting the bullet and getting two kits. I'd get an eGo kit and I'd get a 510 kit. All the parts (except the chargers) will be interchangeable and you'll both be able to vape away. Think about it.

Hi vbgunz,

I had the 510, but since I enjoyed the battery life of an eGo I never touched the 510 battery again. So my advice would be the eGo. For a first try of an e-cig a 510 will do it, it vapes very well. The difference between the two is in my opinion only the battery life.
If you want to charge the eGo battery on a 510 charger you will need an adapter.

Did you consider the Riva 510 Lite Bundle they are offering for $29.99 with the 20% discount rather than the ego kit? It has a 750mah battery as opposed to the egos which is 650mah...and cheaper. Then add your 510 kit as a "emergency backup kit". That one cone you get with the ego...very unimportant...you probably won't even use it, except when you want your pv to look "pretty" because it inhibits airflow when your vaping.

I'm with cherewine. Get two Riva kits. I'll bet that wouldn't be much more (if any) than either of the two carts above. You'll have two GREAT pv kits. It really is the way to go. I have ordered 4 of those Riva kits....I use one and have one as a spare, and I've given two away. They are great...and they're $10 each cheaper than the eGo (and virtually the very same thing...except their batteries last even LONGER than the eGo batteries.) They look the same.

JC and keyzygirl made some excellent points. You're also going to need enough juice between the two of you. Prefilled cartridges (carts) usually taste pretty gross IMO, and they aren't going to last long. I would suggest getting several 5ml bottles with different flavors and maybe a couple of different nicotine levels so you can both try them. I would recommend VaporBomb.com for this. They have tasty, reasonably priced juice and have some sample flavors, too.

+1 for what you said...lol...just get TWO Riva kits and skip the 510 kit and call it all good! thats what I'd do.

Just shortened what you wrote. :)

You've received excellent advice so far. You'll need at least a couple more attys. By the time you add that in to what you were thinking of buying you're probably talking the same price as two full kits: one 510 kit + eGo kit (or Riva, which is cheaper). You'll end up with 2 chargers that way, too. No sense getting a divorce over who gets to charge their batt next. lol

No matter what...don't forget to click on the 20% off discount.

I have juice, drip tips and a 5 pack of 510 atomizers. I didn't want to complicate my cart any more than I needed to. For just 6 bucks, I added the eGo charger. My question on the carts was, do I have the minimum number of pieces required to sample another e-cig. In the end, I really think cart 2 is the better deal.

After all, isn't all the hype about the eGo about the battery life? For just 13 cents, I get 40% more battery and the atomizers, the cartridges, juice and even the charger are interchangeable. Granted, for just 6 bucks more, I am doing way better in cart 2, I really thought so.

This gets my vote too! I have the Riva lite bundle, and love it! Easy to find accessories for, since it's compatible with the ego, and the battery lasts me all day. I'd much rather spend the difference on juice and a few extra atty's!

I also agree with skipping the extra cone. I rarely use mine. Give a thought to an ego pass-through if either of you works at a computer or is in the car any amount of time (USB charge and go for $25.99).

And don't forget your discount!

Just get the ego there is no need for the 510. They vape pretty much the same but the ego battery life is incredible compared to the 510. You will notice your 510 will gather dust as you vape away on your ego. imo the 510 is great if you are really concerned with a cig look. But you have to charge it every 2-4 hours. it sucks! the ego will last much longer and is capable of using low resistance attys and cartos for huge clouds. the regular 510 is not
