It's been a little over a week since I got my first e-cig, TheSafeCig. I got the starter kit which came with one battery, two chargers and 5 pre filled cartomizers, 18mg traditional tobacco flavor. Since using the safecig I have had only a few (maybe 5?) analogs for the entire week. I'm a pack a day, Marlboro ultra light smoker. I'm getting to the point now where I feel I don't need an analog at all!

After getting the safecig I came across this site and read a lot of reviews and recommendations and decided to try the Joye Ego, which I got yesterday.

Last night was my first time going out and drinking since I started the e-cig. I charged up my Safecig and eGo before I left. My Safecig had the 18mg tobacco flavor cart, and my new eGo had a pre-filled 18mg
Carnilla Cap Xpress 510 CartoI got from LiquidXpress.

The entire night I had both in my jacket pocket and just kept hitting on both of them and really enjoyed both.

I'm liking the eGo, and I like the carnilla flavor as well, but I still like my safecig, more because of the convenience of it. I love the ease of charging the battery with the usb on my laptop and using the pre-filled carts.

So.... I know the eGo uses 510 carts, and I prefer to stick to pre-filled carts right now. What e-cig / battery seems to have the most variety of pre-filled carts? I've found a few places online that sells pre-filled 510's, but I'm wondering if there is a two piece model that carries even more?

Thank you so much! So is the kr808d-1 a battery that uses kr808d-1 carts?

Also, maybe you can help me with something (or anyone who can answer) I was looking at pre-filled carts at vapor4life and there seems to be a huge selection of pre-filled cartos in many different flavors, but I can't find anything on the site that says what battery works with these. Does anyone know?

For example.... Vapor King - Premium eCigarette Cartomizers what will these work with?

Thanks

It would benefit you to try filling empty cartomizers with a liquid of your choice. Not only would it be cheaper as you can refill your used cartomizers several times but would allow you to find a flavor that you really enjoy.

Most pre-filled 510 cartomizers I see have either a tobacco flavor or menthol and that is about it really. There may be a vendor out there that has other flavors in a pre-filled 510 cartomizer but I don't know who they may be.

Vapor4life carries a two piece design (kr808d) and have an incredibly wide selection of flavors as well.

Don't let carto filling scare you, especially if its the type that comes with the two rubber caps on both ends. I just discovered and enjoy using the "condom fill method", (no, I didn't make that up). Do a search on youtube for Condom method refill cartomizers and you'll get live demonstrations. It is the fastest, easiest cleanest way ever to refill those types of cartos.

I agree with many. I was like you and only used prefills. But, I'm having so much fun mixing and matching different liquid flavors (e.g. 5 drops of a tobacco flavor into the cart, and 3 drops straight on the atty) that I wouldn't dream of buying filled carts anymore. Sorry, don't have advice on your questions, but recommend you buy a sampler pack of e-liquid, have fun experimenting, and find what's right for you. You'll enjoy it even more, and it's just simple experimentation. Actually kinda fun, and I'm enjoying that almost as much as I am vaping. :)

The KR808 or the 510 refers to the thread that is used for the cartos and battery. So any KR808 carto will fit that battery. Any 510 part will fit a 510 battery. You can also get adapters that go either way. V4L is a brand name for the KR 808 D-1. I agree refilling is a better way. Cheaper and more choicees in flavors and cartos. Even if you aren't doing it now hold on to those cartos for later.

I got a bottle of chocolate / cream liquid when I ordered my eGo which I wanted to use in my pre-filled cartos once they ran out.
I have a pre-filled carto that came with my safecig that has gone dry, so I tried using a syringe to fill the carto, but the taste is horrible (tasted like "fake tasting" buttered popcorn) and I only got a few vapes off it before I could tell it was empty. Maybe I did it wrong.... Either way I do plan on keeping my empty cartos that way I can experiment with refilling, but for the time being having pre-filled catros is much easier for me.

I've found a few places that sells pre-filled 510 cartos which is great for my eGo, but I guess I'm looking for a e-cig that is like the safecig (size / two piece) that can also use pre-filled cartos. I have no idea what "model" the safecig is, and the flavor selection at the safecig site only has tobacco and menthol flavors (I actually like the tabacoo flavor one)

I'm thinking of getting a kr808 and some pre-fills for that... Would that be more along the lines of the safecig?

Just get a 510 battery to 808 (ie KR808D-1) cartomizer adapter (I saw one at FreedomSmokeUSA.com) and try some KR808D-1 cartos like the prefilled ones at Vapor4Life.com - a number of 510/Ego users do that. The KR808D-1 batteries are also very nice for mini batteries - their shorty at 180mah is the short charge length of a 510 battery, their standard at 280mah is the charge life of a 510 xl length battery, and their xl's are 380mah. Get a manual battery and charger if you want to try one.

Note about Vapor4Life's cartos - they have two kinds and it can be hard to tell which each prefill flavor is in. Coolcarts are 3.x ohm (I prefer those) and their WOW carts are 2.x ohm and hot on my lips (you can cut part of the end out of a carto condom and slip that on the mouth end if it's too hot for you). Their WOW prefills have WOW juice in them but some are in Coolcarts (I think their WOW 555 is).

BTW - one other cool thing you can do with a KR808D-1 battery (aka Vapor4Life's Vapor King) is put a DSE901 atty and 901 cart on it (or drip tip if you buy a manual battery). The 901 atty gives a soft tasteful vapory drag, I set that combo up at night for dessert flavors and it is yummy.

Try the condom method for refilling it's the easiest way to start. Heres a link to a video showing how.

That. I like some prefilled cartos (KR808D1) and use them on an EGO with an adapter most of the time now. Usually I fill my own blank cartomizers though.

I personally never bother with the condom fill. Too much of a pita for me presonally. I just pop off the rubber mouthpiece cap and drip down the sides into the foam. I've tried both methods and this is easier and faster imo.

vaporkings.com does carry prefilled cartos for the 510 with several flavors, around 12 I think. I have ordered those before, and they are good. But like others said, refilling your own cartos is easier than you might think unless you get the CE2 R4 cartos. Even those can be refilled easily once you get the hang of it.

@ Traver-That was really simple! I will be refilling for the first time once my juice comes and I am going to try this method! Thanks!

Just remember to stop vaping a carto as soon as you get a hint of a burnt or dry taste. Once you burn the filler it's not going to not the same. Don't expect to many refills either. If you get four your doing good and a lot it depends on the type of carto.
