A bit mad at myself. Time is running out. I need to decide now!

I'm not making any promises, resolutions, etc about quitting smoking. I'm just hoping I can change it.

one thing i did while waiting for my first kit was to switch up brands of smokes for those few days, so that having something different would be like rotating between brands

Vb, that's a good way to approach the idea...the less pressure, the better :)

Good idea, Sweet, wish I'd of thought to do that.

Good luck!

To be honest. I have no idea how I am going to react to my first e-cig. I am going into this with a 2 prong attitude. The first prong is saying "look at it like switching to another brand of cigarette (even if it's ....ty)" and the second prong is saying "if anything, maybe it can help you cut down on the analog smoking (better than not)".

I'm not making any promises, resolutions, etc about quitting smoking. I'm just hoping I can change it.

I had the same attitude. I thought that the ecig would at least stop my "in the house" smoking, giving the family some relief.
This will be my fifth day smoke free, and I can say that I actually prefer the vape over the smoke. This is coming from a 35 yr smoker. Best of luck

I have seen plenty of people on these boards say "I wasn't trying to quit smoking, but once I started vaping, I never smoked again"
So hang in there, don't put too much pressure on yourself, and don't be discouraged if it is hard at first.
Good luck!

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
you will find that once you get used to it, you will prefer it. it's kinda like diet coke-once you get used to it, tasting overly sweet regular coke is not as good.
there is really no reason for vaping to fail someone from quitting smoking analogs, because your body is still getting the nicotine that you are addicted to, you are still getting the psychological hand to mouth action and inhaling and exhaling vapor...it just simply TASTES better.................and then when you have vaped exclusively for about a week, the changes in how you FEEL are so dramatic, you never want to "go back".
