I bought a Chibi tank from Parkes vaping a while ago. I finally got it in the mail on Friday and started using it. It's really good and I'm generally happy with it, but today the carto already started getting a really tight draw and it also started tasting like crap.

This has me a little bit worried because the thing was brand new when I got it Friday afternoon and it's now Sunday night. As great as the experience has been up to this point, I'm not gonna keep using it if I have to switch cartos every 2 and half days. I'm a moderate vaper at best. Before the Chibi tank I used Kangers and they lasted me almost 2 weeks. This is my first experience with Boge. Is this typical?

Any input would be much appreciated.

We mostly use Boge and we also have a couple of chibi tanks. Sometimes I go through 2 cartos a day while others last well over a week Average of 8 or 9 mil per day. I use 100% VG clear juice. When I was using darker juice it would start to taste horrible after a few days. They are good when they work but they seem to have quite a high fail rate. Just my experience

I am not sure if you are new to the carto tanks but if you are, You might try to take a couple of false puffs- taking puffs without hitting the battery button that will alow you to draw more juice into the carto and improve the taste unless it is already burnt. Also after fitting with a new puched carto and filling the tank, hold your finger over the end of the carto and take a strong puff and you should see bubbles rinsing in the tank, do this a few times to start the wicking. For the tight draw sometimes it helps to run a paper clip that you straighten up thru the battery end of the carto until it comes out the top of the carto stuffing in the center tube and spin it on the paper clip then pull it out and try it again. Works for me. Hope this helps a little.

I have to agree. I have gone through 3 of the Boge's in the past couple of weeks. At $4 ea, it starts to add up. The 1st one worked perfectly from the start for almost a week & then it would flood constantly. The 2nd one would not soak up any juice - tried everything. The 3rd eventually worked but would be inconsistant & began constant flooding after a couple of days. I am now trying the cheaper dual coils. So far, they are a much lighter draw, less vapour but consistant on taste. I'm giving up on the tank & carto for now until improvements are made & will order a VapeMate Electronic Cigarette Juice Feeder by Super-T. I met with Jack at HV & both him & his business partner have convinced me that driping maybe the answer. I never wanted to drip but after trying it tonignt for a few hours - it very consistant, loads of vapour & taste - just a pain to constantly fill.

If you vape much dripping is a pain in the rear. Unless you are at a table or desk with nothing else to do then dripping is fine, I does work well but its not practical. I have tried many systems for over a year and the best 2 I have found is the tanks. If you punch 1 hole at the bottom of your carto, just above the bottom seal then fill the tank and place your finger over the thread hole and suck on the mouth piece and watch the bubbles rise in the E-juice and do this several times and let the carto set for 10 to 15 minutes for a new carto it will work very good for you and make the carto last a very long time compared to using a carto outside a tank. If you don't like cartos you might try the new E-go C , its has a replaceable atomizers for about 4 to 5 Dollars and can be taken apart and cleaned and dry burn the coil and its like new again. Also the eGo-c has a refillable tank that you pull off and refill and has no filler material in it like the cartomizers do. These are my 2 fav's for what it worth. Don't give up on the tanks, just a little learning curve that we all go thru. For the tanks order stainless steel carto's for the tanks and punch a single hole with a Saddle valve from any hardware store that has a curved strap on both sides that you squeeze on the carto then twist the handle untill you here it pop and then screw it all the way down until it stops, then back it out and you finished. Also the carto's should never cost more than 2 Dollars apiece at most and cheaper than that at some vendors. Happy Vaping

Thanks for the info - I should have stated that I was using a VPX stainless steel tank with the cartos. I am waiting for eGo-C parts to become available as my Joy 1000mah bats are but a month old - I don't need a kit - just the cart & tank. I think we'll start to see these become readily available next month. In the meantime, for home - I will try a bottle feeder & continue using the SMOK dual coil cartos. I may have over filled them in the past causing the issues - they were $2 ea - so I don't expect much. I was paying $4 for the punched Boge's - I like the draw & taste but they were just too inconsistent - The punched dual coils are much more airy but seem more consistent with taste & don't seem to flood. I think I was close with the tank and will definately not give up. Thanks again - you've picked my brain & supported my thoughts.
