A bottle of e-liquid just expoloded in my face

Was filling up a DCT tank, had it about eye level so I could make sure it was going into the tank and not the carto when the cap blew off the bottle. It was a 60ml bottle with a little over half left in it. This particular bottle did appear to have a smaller than normal hole in it as I had to apply a bit more pressure to get it to drip.

The majority off the juice landed on my shirt and lap, but some of it did go into my eyes and mouth. The pain in my eyes did go away after about ten minutes and now they are just cool from the menthol. I can feel the nicotine in my system but do not thing I ingested a dangerous amount. Is this user error or was the bottle faulty? Should I contact the distributor? I had never removed the top before and didn't have problems through the first 25ml. Stay safe out there.

I have never had this happen, but I have had nicotine in my eye. It's the alcohol in most of the liquids that will burn your eyes. Especially if it's menthol. I would drink LOTS of water. And not vape for about an hour. Make sure and change clothes and wash your hands, or better yet shower.

Menthol is not good for your eyes.

Im a dripper,so I have had the tops pop a lot, but it always ends up all over my mod, hands, and lap. VERY frustrating !!

Yes there is a bottle tip out there (BWB for one uses it) that juice just refuses to drip through. If you look at the inside of it, you will see why. For that reason I save the good bottle tips from empty bottles and swap them out.

When I have slow dripping bottles I get a small nail or tiny screwdriver and push it through the hole to widen it. Sorry this happened to you.

That's one reason I like the bottles Halo uses - glass ones with a dropper. And the 100ml bottles from Alien Visions are nice, too, with their larger spout.

I was actually thinking about making the hole bigger, I will do that next time. It really just startled me. I was in the shower within two seconds of it happening; 35ml is a lot to have dripping on your face and clothes, hahaha. Just looked at myself in the mirror, eyes are REALLY red. Heart rate is up and skin is tingly too.

The top is actually a screw on since it is 60ml so I wasn't too worried. Learned a valuable lesson today

What mg was the nicquid? Nicotine absorbs into the skin pretty easily. Good thing you got to the shower fast. May want to lie down if you get nausea. Hope the OD passes for ya!

It was 18mg liquid. I scrubbed my face like crazy with soap and rinsed my eyes out for a while. My computer is all sticky too. After further looking, I got splatters all over my room. Going to need to mop tonight. Good thing I have dark colored couches.

I am glad to read this. I was wondering if I was the only one who had problems getting BWB RY4 to come out of the bottle!!

Actually it absorbs slower than you think. I've spilled my share on myself, even 100mg and I'm still here to tell about it. Didn't even make me sick, and I had the jeans on for over an hour.

As for your eyes, flush good with water and you'll be fine. Burns like hell doesn't it? I did that last week so you're in good company.

As for the bottle top popping off, I take a precision screwdriver and stick it through all of my tops to open them up.
