USB Dual Power Adapter

Not only inexpensive, but the only 2 Amp AC/USB adapter I've been able to find. I have several and they are real workhorses. Almost 5 months old and still going strong, like the 1st day I opened the package.

I've got 4 of these plugged in around the house for when my I forget to charge my box batteries.
They're great little workhorses. We've had one of them for 6 months and hubby uses it every night.

(Be aware if you're sharing it, the output will suffer. We've actually had "discussions" about "You SAW ME taking a draw, wait till I'm done to start yours" :pNow we just plug 2 of them into the extension cord that runs to the couch. All better :D )

I'm confused on these. Do they plug into a wall outlet and then you plug your usb passthru into it? If this is the case can you start vaping as soon as you plug them in?
You plug it into an outlet and then plug your USB passthrough into it and yes, you can start using them right away, so long as the battery is already charged. The passthroughs still have a battery, it just allows it to be continuously charging.

Not all pts have a battery. Mainly just the 510s.

I thought we were talking a REAL direct connect 5V passthru(Like PureSmokers USBPass, Vaprlife's VP PT or Altsmoke's BB PT add on).

Any wal-wart AC/USB adapter you can get at Radio Shack or Wal-Mart can power the Chinese made Passthru's.

They also are pieces of junk(for the most part). I went through three of them in 2 months.

Also, in regards to the previously mentioned Kensington Power Pack. I own one myself and use it when I'm on the go with my passthru & it works fairly well . As of a few months ago, Best Buy was clearing them out and the last I heard the price had reached an incredible low of $14.99(considering full retail initially was $59.99). You may want to check your local Best Buy to see if they are still in clearance stock.

So if these will work to direct vape through a wall outlet, why won't the wall charger with the usb attachment work on my M401's? We tried it and couldn't vape... Plugged the passthrough back into the usb on the computer and it worked fine.

I don't own a M401 PT, but If I had to venture a guess, it's pulling more current then then wall charger/usb attachment is providing(probably 500mA-thus causing it to trip). Your computer USB port is running on the USB 2.0 standard(unless you have a very old computer running USB 1.1). The USB 2.0 standard allows more then 500mA to be pulled as long as there is no concurent data transission(which there isn't with a passthru). It depends on the motherboard, but the USB 2.0 standard allows unlimited(again, depending on the motherboard's power limits) current to be passed if there is no concurrent data transmission(from wikipedia).

If you want a wal-wart that WILL work , buy this one:

USB Dual Power Adapter

It allows 2 amp current draw which should be more then enough.
