A chest cold makes vaping impossible.

Sounds like you are taking the vape into your lungs... that is not the "correct" procedure.
Most of the flavor and nicotine will absorb in the mucus membranes of your mouth and nose.
There is directions on the proper way to vape somewhere ... if you feel up to looking for it (reasons and stuff included)

Basically, quick hit to warm up the vape - the long slow hit - hold the vape in your mouth - roll it around like a cigar or wine -
exhale through your nose.

No reason at all for that vape to be hitting your lungs.

Menthol might be soothing to your throat with a chest cold and all.

Good Luck

Well not impossible, but really not very pleasant at all. The slightest hint of vape and it triggers a nasty vile congestion cough. Grant it smoking wasn't great with a chest cold either but I could still inhale without coughing every time I puffed. *Table Flip*

I didn't think there was a proper way to vape. Most of the people I know inhale the vapor. If inhaling the vapor was the wrong way then why would you have terms like throat hit?

I get no flavor that way, only wet dog. Then what's the point of the throat hit if you don't inhale the vapor?

There is no right or wrong way.. even tho there are vids showing a "right" way. I inhale into my lungs.. the only time i try to hold the vapor in my mouth is in the morning.. and even after i hold it there.. i still inhale.
I definitely don't exhale out through my nosebbecause i think it looks silly..

I have a fundamental disagreement with that. If I didn't have vapor hitting my lungs there would be no reason to vape. Same with smoking when I smoked. Just a guess, but I'd be extremely surprised if the wide majority of vapers don't inhale as you are suggesting is "wrong".

Sorry, did put the correct into markers you know. See signature, haven't the foggiest just information that I found here and other places.

Might try it anyway, since your lungs are currently rejecting it.

First saw it in the discussion about why test reports about the amount of nicotine in the blood of a vaper was so low - seen it repeated many places since then. You can look it up if you like.

The chest cold is the last chapter of this cold. it started a week ago with sore throat, then a fever with a faucet nose, and now it moved into the chest. I was hoping it wouldn't make it to the chest but it apparently did.

But fear not ladies. Your love and care has made me strong and willing to continue the fight!!!!

exhailing thru the nose seems to burn the HELL out of my nose. good for clearing up a clogged nose, but yea i dont really exhail thru the nose either.

i NEVER inhale into my lungs cos it's water vapor, and i'd drown, right? ;)

actually, i don't really inhale. i take it into my mouth first - not really unlike when i smoked. the difference between vaping and smoking for me is that after i'd take in cig smoke, i'd chase it into my lungs by inhaling air. i could never just straight lung inhale cig smoke like most ppl do.

with vaping, after holding it in my mouth for a few seconds, i will take a very shallow inhale of air, just until it hits the back of my throat, and maybe a little does get into my lungs, but not much. then i will somewhat slowly exhale thru my nose. yes it sometimes burns on the first few vapes. i chalk that up to the nicotine hitting my nasal membranes. it's kind of like throat hit, but instead nasal hit, i suppose.

my girlfriend is the opposite. she will direct inhale the vape into her lungs. and at first she was ready to give up vaping and go back to analogs cos she wasn't feeling any nicotine at all. i believe that was cos lungs don't do an efficient job at absorbing the nic, and it's the mucus membranes of the mouth and nose that absorb it when vaping. she's been working on trying to hold it in her mouth longer before inhaling, and also exhaling thru her nose. now she does seem to be getting more nic from her vaping.

i've also noticed that on some flavors, when the vapor transitions thru my upper throat from my mouth to my nasal passages, i often get a kick of flavor way back, away from my tongue, which is sometimes very nice.
