When I first stepped up from the V2 cig-a-like, I bought a Joyetech eGo-T 1100 with a Kanger M-T3 & 1.8 Ohm atomizer, but soon after I realized that I was having a problem. I was quitting analogs altogether at the time (it has currently been 2 weeks!), and I was vaping like crazing. I was getting bad hits, so I went to the local store where I bought the stuff and asked the guy what he thought was the problem. The problem seemed two-fold. First, some flavors were burning, and he recommended going to to a 2.5 Ohm atomizer. So, I bought a Pro tank II and popped in the 2.5 Ohm atomizer. Everything worked like a charm. The second problem, apparently, was that I was hitting on the M-T3 so often and with such long draws that the 1.8 Ohm atomizer was heating up too much and that was producing a bad draw. I've had no problems with the Pro tank II in that regard, though it is rather airy, so I bought a different skirt to reduce the airflow. Anyway, the guy said that I should try putting a 2.5 Ohm atomizer in the M-T3, and that seems to work just fine: no more burnt taste and, so far, no problems with overheating.
My questions:
1. Does anything sound screwy in what I've described? In other words, does it all make sense?
2. Do the exact same atomizers work in both the Pro Tank II and the M-T3?
3. I don't want to just throw out the 1.8 Ohm atomizer, but it's already wet; is there a way to let it dry so that I can reuse it later?
Thanks alot!
