Who said anything about working... I'm hanging out here and also car shopping online... LOL. Not a bad way to 'earn' a paycheck...

actually, if i don't have a new cafe opening going on (next one is in new orleans area in november), i do a lot of work from home - remote conferencing, admin, etc... cuts down on travel expenses covering 16 cafes in this market

Working from home for me means spending a lot of time sitting on the porch with my Macbook. Cooper is still a puppy so if I don't let him work his energy out he can get a little annoying.

I know someone in that line of work. Makes a TON of money to test video games.

I wish... though there's probably more to it than I'd want to do. I'm sure there's a lot of note-taking and what-not to find and report all the bugs in the software... not to mention, I'm sure my wife would HATE it if that were my job... :D

Hey, @lanye did you see the link I posted to the Rayon thread? If you're looking for a new wick material, I'd definitely give it a try. It's a very long and old thread, but there is a lot of good information once you get closer to the end or so. Also the guys/gals over there are super helpful. JeremyR went through all of the growing pains for us and really did a phenomenal job doing the research and work to make it a very workable wick. Some of those guys are even running the same wick/coil for months at a time...

I'm not sure if I saw it.

The cat also gets annoyed with him if he doesn't run around outside. I have a Maine .... and they LOVE each other. She wants to play with Cooper so bad but he has to get the hyper out first.
we have a pair of brothers (more rescues) that are part maine .... - they are a complete hoot :)

I've loved all of the Cloud Science flavors. Alpha was my absolute favorite, though. They totally nailed that one!

Silica was the only real choice of wicking material that we had for a long time. All of the cartomizers and clearomizer atty heads had silica as a standard wick. It was much more resistant to burning than cotton or rayon, but it just wasn't all that good to me. Some people still prefer it... I'm not one of them.

Back in the early days of vaping, we tried many, many different things for wicking. On the old cartridge system, we even used tea bags. Dump out the tea and stuff pieces of the bag down into the cartridge... fill it with juice and vape on. I'm not sad to see those days have gone...

Rayon is definitely my wicking material of choice. No, it doesn't stick to your coil or melt. It will burn, just like cotton... It does have better capillary action than cotton and a much purer juice flavor in my opinion. There is a very long thread about it here:
Rayon Wick: Better Flow, Flavor, Saturation and Nic Hit

I use the rayon beauty coils from Sally's Beauty Supply:
Sally's Beauty Supply (online or B&M)
Graham Cellucotton Box Numbers:
Box #s: 44060 (500 ft), 44043 (3 lbs = 900 ft), 44040 (1200 ft), 44130 (40 ft).
Trust me... it is SOOOOOo worth giving it a shot!! And check out the Rayon thread for all the tips and tricks on how to use it... it is not like cotton (you need more of it.. tighter inside the coil, actually try to get it as tight as you can without completely deforming the coil)

Just to make it easier for ya!! :D

You're the bomb! My second package just arrived with Teleos juices and Japanese cotton. I'll try that out and report back.

Awesome! You'll definitely have to tell me what you think of Alpha... that one is my all time favorite, and I haven't been able to clone it with DIY yet. Some day I'll figure it out and I'll mix it up in large batches. Also, you'll definitely notice a difference in flavor once you try the rayon... that is absolutely the best wick material I've used so far!

Reading a little bit in the thread now but a quick Google search shows like a billion places to buy the Cellucotton coil.

Easiest place is Sally's Beauty Supply. I got a box with 500' for $12... even after giving away 200' or so, I'll still never run out! :D

@Kaezziel Have you seen/tried the Fiber Freaks wick? It looks like some sort of cellucotton/rayon.

It is. It is also highly over-priced. There really isn't any difference between it and the Sally's to me, but the Sally's is close to 3 cents/foot.
