Hi everyone,

I received my first 510 kit last Saturday. I wanted to find out as cheaply as I could if vaping was for me. I ordered enough stuff so I could try dripping, cartos, and atty/cart. Obviously, since I'm on this forum, I decided it's not for me. Anyway, I ordered 4x1100 mAh KGO batteries, some LR atties, LR cartos, drip tips, chargers, and ~175 ml of juice. I had a couple questions before my mailman gets a hernia bringing all this to me next week.

The juice I have had so far were just tobacco sample packs from the places I bought my hardware. Next week, I have some freshly made juice coming from several different vendors in a bunch of flavors. I've read sometimes juice needs to steep. I'm just wondering, are there some flavors that don't need to steep? Are there some flavors that definitely need it before I even try them?

Also, if I fill a cartos with juice, how long can it sit before I use it. Do I only need to fill them if I intend to use them immediately, or can they sit for a week or so if I don't get to them? I like to do things all at once to lower the daily hassle factor.

Finally, when dripping, what is the easiest way to change flavors. I don't really want to have to run water through the atty and wait for it to dry before I try another flavor.

Thanks for all the help so far.

...steeping will not fix a bad juice, just change it a bit...a good juice will get better(maybe)...if the juice is freshly blended when ordered, a weeks steeping can help...if the juice is already a week or so old, steeping usually doesn't make much diff...I get most of my juice from BlueMist Vaping Supplies, it is blended when ordered...I find several days for fruit/sweet flavs and a week for tobacco flavs helps them tremendously......
...if you replace the condoms on the carto, they can sit for a very long time before usage...if left open, the juice can evaporate...which you won't like...and neither will your carto....
...I only drip to taste new flavs...I add 2-3 drops and vape till dry tasting and add more...the same with changing flavs...vape till dried out tasting and add the the new flav...it may take a time or two to get rid of the old flav and if the old flav is very strong, cleaning may be the only way to change it.....

Thanks for the response. Basically, the only time I see myself dripping is when trying out the new flavors, too. Once I find one I like, I'll just fill a carto of it. BlueMist was one of the places I ordered from. Really, I was just wondering if I'll have to wait a few days to try all the new juice I ordered, or if some of it will be ok to vape as soon as I get it.

IMO single flavor juices are never improved by steeping unless maybe if the flavoring was freshly extracted organic flavoring. Juices that are good and have a blend of flavorings may get better as the flavors blend more. I do not think steeping will make you like a juice you dislike except in the one case below.

The real improvement from steeping is when any juice smells perfumey or flowery (usually caused by over-flavoring or some creamy flavors). THEN taking off the cap and dropper tip and letting it sit somewhere safe for a few hours to over night then putting the dropper and cap back on can help get rid of that smell either right away or after you then let the juice site capped for a week.

Most of the stuff I ordered was pretty simple flavor-wise I think, so it should be ok to use. The problem with learning all about this at once is that you start to think you have problems that you don't really have. :)

Amen to that, there really IS so much to learn, and because of that, it seems like there's a problem around every corner. haha
