Looking for a vape to help me out with smoking. I smoke about a pack every 3/4 days. I was looking for something with a long battery life and easy refill methods.

A friend has recommended this:
DSE-801 HIGH POWER Vaporizer

thoughts?

I really am at a loss for what to buy so please be specific! If you could send links to certain products that would be very helpful. Thanks.

The 801 is a good vape but the 510 size is going to be easier to find items for. You might want to look at the Kgo at KGO 1100 mAh 2 battery kit You get 2 complete 510 compatable size units and the battery time is going to give you 6-8 hours of moderate vaping. It also comes with some cartos so all you will need is to find some juice you like and a drip tip. With your being such a light smoker I would probably stay around 6mg juice. Hopefully others will also post and give you more suggestions. Welcome to the wonderful world of vaping.

I agree with jnnfrlsw. From what you have described it sounds like the KGO would work for your needs. I has a manual battery and a long battery life.

yes, you definatley want a MANUAL battery. Don't get roped into Blu, South Beach...etc..there's alot of hype out there that suck alot of people in...my included. The people here are the ones you really need to listen to. I started with Blu...don't go there..You need a MANUAL battery because the battery life on those is decent, as opposed to automatics, which couldn't even get me through A cuppa joe in the mornings, without getting up to replace my battery. I've gone with the eGo, which alot of people here recommend. It's got what's called a 510 thread, so if you want to update later on, you'll be better able to find matching parts for that. The manual battery makes the battery alittle larger than a regular cig, it's about like holding a Sharpie in your hands, and you have to press a button every time you inhale, but that takes all of 5 seconds to get used to. You're doing GREAT on your cutdown of cigs by the way! WAY TA GO!!

thanks jnnfr, Kay and mkchunn. is there are real difference between the ego and the kgo?

The Kgo is an unregulated 3.7v device, the eGo is a regulated 3.4v device
So the Kgo will provide a higher voltage to the atty/carto, and the eGo will provide a more consistant voltage to the atty/carto

well that just opens another question....whats the difference between regulated and unregulated. sorry if thats a stupid question.

The voltage gradually drops off unless the voltage is regulated. The eGo bat comes off the charger with the voltage regulated down to 3.39v even tho' the bat has 4.2v in it, and shuts off when the voltage drops to 3.30v. The kgo comes off the charger at 4.2v. and shuts off when the voltage drops to 3.0v.

Just boils down to some people will like the consistency at a lower voltage while other will like the higher voltage.
