yeah I bought the Johnson Creek Red Oak sample kit thinking it was going to last me the month, "whatever I buy is at the begining of the month and has to last me until the 1st of the next month." and I have already gone through half of all the tiny 3.5 ml bottles, just got the bottles in the mail last monday. I accidentally over filled a few times and it leaked out really bad, so I wasted a ton of juice. It was my first time ever refilling and didn't know what I was doing at all..lol

Since you said you work from home and spend a lot of time at your computer, here's another option for you. The great thing about this PV is that you can use it as a passthrough while you're at your computer, then disconnect it and take it with you to use away from your computer.

When you fill a carto, wait a few seconds between drops. When the top of the cotton batting looks like a slushee (with no liquid sitting on top), it's ready. You'll know when you're getting there when the drops absorb much more slowly. You also may want to blow through the carto from the battery end to make sure no juice is sitting in the airhole.

crap, I was blowing through the mouth piece, maybe that was my problem. :/

Either way, make sure no liquid is sitting on the battery connection, especially if you have an auto battery because you don't want liquid to get into the batt and fry it. Not a problem with manuals.

And I almost forgot, tilt the carto at a 45 deg. angle when filling, so the liquid soaks into the cotton and stays clear of the airhole. The key is to give each drop enough time to soak in.

alright I will try that, thanks a lot, it's almost time to refill again, hopefully I will do it right this time.

wow, I didn't know ecigs took regular batteries..lol so you don't recharge those in a wall outlet or usb charger? just replace the batteries when they die like my 4 year old son's toys? lol My son is autistic and still in diapers so that's why I don't have a lot of money to spend on new units. so whatever I can get for very little cash helps a lot.

They are rechargeable batteries, not like a AA battery or something that would go in a toy.

The E-Power uses 14650 rechargeable batteries. They are about the same size as a AA, but alittle longer.
These are what they look like: E Power batteries 14650
You get two 14650 batteries with the E-Power kit.

You do recharge them, but not the way you recharge your blu batteries. With proprietary battery PVs, like your Blu, you screw the unit directly onto the charger, and it charges the battery that is inside of the unit.

With the E-power, you take the battery out of the unit, and put just the battery into the charger, then plug the charger into the wall. And since the kit comes with 2 batteries, you can charge one, while your using the other. That way you always have a fully charged battery ready to go when needed.

This is what the charger looks like that comes with the E-Power: E-Power Charger

oh ok I see, so like the duracell's you buy that come with a charger. Yeah they are pretty cheap..that charger itself is only 6 bucks. I might check into all that. How many charges do the batteries get before you have to throw them away?

Also, what do they work with? like what is the thread connection on these? where do you buy atomizers for them? are they able to use cartomizers? I looked on the site it took me too looked at the atomizers selection but didn't show one for that kit. I wasn't sure what the connection what on these.

Yes you recharge the E-power batteries the same way you would recharge Duracell rechargable AA batteries.

Normal proprietary battery PVs, like slim ecigs and eGos/kGos/Rivas, use batteries that get about 250-250 full charge cycles in their lifetime. Non-proprietary batteries, like the E-Power batteries, last a long time before they need to be replaced. Im not sure exactly how many charge cycles the batteries are supposed to have, but Ive heard they can get 500+ full charge cycles. I have a few more E-power batteries now, but 2 of them are still the original 2 batteries that came with my E-Power kit. Ive been using them daily for over 7 months now and they still work awesome and hold their charge for just as long as when I first got them. For a battery that only costs about $5, thats not too shabby

The E-power has a 510 connection, which is the most popular, and is the same threading that your Blu has, meaning you could use the Blu cartos if you really wanted to. You will also be able to use a wide array of other attys and cartos though too since 510 is such a polular threading.

Yes you could use atomizers and cartridges or cartomizers. I highly recommend using cartomizers bc their alot more consistant and hold a lot more juice.

Depending on where you get it they can come with different things. The regular kit comes with 2 atomizers and some prefilled cartridges, but since most people prefer cartomizers instead, many vendors that sell the E-Power offer the kit with cartomizers instead.

Hoosier Ecig Supply, which is the vendor from the link I posted, sells the E-Power kit with cartomizers, but they are sold out right now.

Many other vendors sell the E-Power as well though.
I bought mine from Crystal Clear Vaping. They sell their kit for alittle more than some other vendors, but they also give you about $25 in free stuff, which makes it a really good deal. Their kit comes with 2 atomizers and 5 prefilled cartridges, but part of the $25 in free stuff that you get with the kit is a free 5-pack of Ressurector cartomizers. The Ressurectors are aweosme and are the only cartos I use on my E-Power. They are 1.7ohm so they gibve a nice warm vape, and they hold about 2ml of juice so they last a pretty long time between refills.

Sweet-vapes.com also has a really good deal for the E-Power, and that might be the best place for you to get one if you decide to.
They sell the E-Power kit for only $41.95, and they sell the kit with atomizers and prefilled cartridges, or you can get the kit with your choice of cartomizers.
From them, you can get the E-Power in black or chrome. There is also Stainless Steel and Titanium colored E-Powers, but Sweet-vapes doesnt sell them, so if you wanted one of those colors youd have to buy it from another vendor.
If you do order from there, I would def get the one that comes with cartos.
Heres the link: 14650 Carto Kit | Sweet-Vapes E-Liquid
They let you pick which cartos you want with it, and you can get Smoktech black or SS dual coils in either 1.5ohm or 2.0ohm, E-power black or SS dual coils in either 1.5ohm or 2.0ohm, or Boge cartos in either 2.0ohm or 3.0ohm.
I would get the Boge 2.0ohm cartos to start bc they will be the easiest to learn with. Personally I dont like dual coil cartos at lower voltages, and the Boges are single coil and work really well. The E-Power dual coils arnt bad, but they are really big (hold about 6ml of juice which is pretty ridiculous). I wouldnt get them to start bc a carto that big is def harder to fill correctly and you have to have a juice you REALLY like since they hold so much juice. Plus you could always buy an E-Power dual coil down the line for a few bucks if you wanted to try them out. The Boge 2.0ohm cartos would be good to start with bc they work well and give a great vape. They hold about 1ml of juice so theyll be easier to fill and learn on.

Down the line I def recommend trying the Ressurector cartos. They work awesome and give a great vape. Like I said, they last a pretty long time bc they hold about 2ml of juice, and you could also get a carto tank down the line so you could go even longer without refilling.
I use the Smoktech 3.5ml tanks on my E-Power, and they work great. Their really cheap and allow you to go alot longer without refilling. They are a dual coil tank, but like I said, I dont like dual coil cartos at lower voltages. So instead I use the Ressurector cartos in the tank. They are single coil cartos, but since their XL cartos, they are the same size as a dual coil carto and they fit perfectly in the tanks.

Heres what my E-Powers look like: E-Powers.jpg
The left one is a black E-Power with a Ressurector carto in a Smoktech 3.5ml tank.
The right one is a Stainless steel E-power with a Ressurector carto in a Smoktech 3.5ml tank with polished chrome end caps.
Both E-Powers have Big-Belly drip tips on them too.

You obviously dont have to use a tank though, and this is what a Ressurector carto looks like by itself: photo2.jpg

one of the guys on here who was helping me earlier..Hoosier. He said he has an E-power sitting around that he's not using anymore, he's going to send it to me. It's the older model is what he was saying. that's awesome that it has 510 threads, makes it completely versatile. I have never used an atty before and cartomizers are what i'm comfortable with, so this might be a good model for me. he was also saying you can use the cartomizer tanks with it as well. I'm not quite sure what they are called...the big cartomizers that have a big see though cylinder around it that holds a ton of eliquid at once.I'm just hoping they still sell the batteries for the older model, and the charger if he can't find his old one..lol

so you can pretty much make this thing your own..lol Yeah I like it alot, and the fact that it holds batteries like it does takes the stress off of having to buy a whole new system if it fails. I am poor as dirt..and spending money scares me..lol never tried drip tips...bought a 510 drip tip for my blu cig, wanted something that fit well in my mouth when I was vaping it, found out it didn't fit...510's don't fit in 306 carts..lol

Like all ecigs, things can fail, so its prob not a bad idea to get an extra switch.
I have a few switches, but my original one is still working and I used it for over 4 months.
Thats the part that has changed the most since the E-Power first came out. So if you get an E-power from Hoosier, and he said its older, its going to have one of the older switches, so Im not sure which one it will be.
There has been 4 E-Power switches brought out since the E-power was first introduced. They all look the same and any of them will work, they just made them better and gave it some more features.
The first switch had a rubber button and blue LED that was kinda cheap and would fall out. So then they brought out the 2nd gen. switch that had a plastic button with instead of the rubber one with a blue LED. That was the switch that came with the E-power for quite awhile and it worked really well. Then the decided to bring out the 3rd gen. switch that had a 5-click on/off feature and a white LED, but it had problems. For some reason they made the white LED switch only rated to use 2.0ohm cartos and up. This was a problem bc the previous 2 switches were rated to use 1.5ohm and up. I really dont know why they did that and it ...... a lot of people off bc the white LED did not work for alot of people when they tried to use something like a 1.5ohm or 1.7ohm atty or carto, when the older blue LED switches worked fine with them. So then to fix their screw-up, they recently brough out the 4th gen. E-Power switch to replace the white LED one. The 4th gen switch is the newest one and it is rated to use 1.5ohm and up and has a blue LED like the older E-Power switches, but it also has the 5-click on/off feature like the white LED switch had.
So as long as the E-power Hoosier is going to give you doesnt have the white LED switch, you wont have a problem. Since he said its older, I would guess its prob the 2nd gen switch, unless its really old and has the 1st gen rubber button switch. Regardless, if its one if those, it will work fine.
It wouldnt be a bad idea though to get a spare switch to have. Hoosier Ecig Supply has the newest E-power switches in stock that have a blue LED and the 5-click on/off feature. They sell it for $10.89, and if your going to get one, I would get it from there.

The carto tanks Hoosier was talking about is just like the tanks in the picture of my E-powers. Thats just one tank and there are quite a few others as well, but they all do the same thing. I would get comfortable using just cartomizers with it first, and then you could always buy a tank for it later.

Regardless of how old the E-Power is, they still use the same batteries, so that wont be an issue.
And yes, you really can build an E-Power out of spare parts. If you dont like the color of the one hes going to give you, Hoosier Ecig Supply sells battery tubes as well for $7.48, so you could always buy another tube at some point if you want a different color.
Heres the link to everything that Hoosier Ecig Supply sells for the E-power : E-power
If you look on that page, you can see the battery tubes they sell, the spare switches, extra batteries, etc.
I dont know how many batteries hes going to give you, but if hes only giving you one, it wouldnt be a bad idea to get another one. You could buy a battery tube for $7.48, a battery for $5.89, and a spare switch for $10.89 and you just built yourself an extra E-power for under $25. Hoosier also sells the cone as well, but you dont necessarily have to use one, and personally I dont.

A drip tip is really for direct dripping on an atomizer, but alot of people also put them on cartomizers for a mouthpiece.

Oh and ask Hoosier what E-Power he is sending you. Bc Ive been reffering to the 14650 E-Power, but there is also a bigger and less popular 18650 E-Power. If hes sending you an 18650 E-power, then really everything I just said does not apply, bc the 18650 E-power is bigger and uses a different battery. So ask if its a 14650 E-power or a 18650 E-power.
If it is a 14650 E-power, also ask what switch it has. Find out what color the LED is and if it has a plastic button or rubber button.
Let me know what it is and Ill be able to help you more.

Hope this helps, and let me know if you have any more questions.

it is the bigger model, the 18650 series. Told me to get 18650 protected lithium-ion batteries to go into it. he said he didn't buy the kit, just bought the parts to make the ecig. he bought the charger seperatly, but he doesn't know if he still has it or not, going to look around for it, see if he can find it. I don't know what color LED it has, I showed him the picture of the !8650 black model, he said it was like it, but his was all silver. I think he went offline right now, I'm waiting on him to get back with me on batteries...I wasn't sure what Ohm raiting to get on the 18650 batteries when I buy spare's.
