It boggles my mind how Reo's, and bottom feed in general, aren't more popular.

I keep reading about this Big Dripper and what a 'game changer' it is, when it's basically a RDA with a tank on top that squirts juice on the coils. I'm all like "Reo's have been doing the exact same concept, but more efficiently. And with out having to to carry a two foot long metal tube." But no one wants to hear it.

Oh well, you can lead a horse to water...

I have not experienced this sentiment at all. I always bring my REO with me into a shop. I love selling the REO even though I do not earn a commission in the process. I honestly want to show everyone what a joy this device is to use. I love selling the convenience, craftsmanship, repair-ability, and even the price point.

The reactions I have experienced:
What is that now? - Followed by a desire for one or information on how to attain one
Hey "coworker" don't you have one of these? - Followed by the Co-worker's full endorsement
Hey was that you who posted pictures of this the other day on the local vape forum? (No sadly it wasn't me, pictures of my REO and its many hats soon to come)
Let me bring my boss out here he has to see this
Man I have been trying to get our store to carry these

One store even showed me that they stocked a brand new Zenith that had BF capabilities such that it could be a top fed and bottom fed with the removal of a couple screws.

My REO has experienced not a tinge of negativity and for that I am grateful and I feel so badly for everyone that has come across degrading remarks and actions. These negative people may not seem like they deserve a REO but sell them on yours and defeat their ignorance with all the benefits of the REO. Help Reoville grow don't give up on them. I am so happy that REOSmods was around long enough for me to attain one of these fine products, just a month ago. Influence these people so that Reoville will still be here for the next person that is late to the party.

I had to check this out to see what it is as I never really explore other stuff any more. Watching the video on the device, I can't for the life of me see how anyone would prefer this over the Reo. A big long $130 atty that holds 3 mils and appears to be a PITA to fill in no way compares to the ease of the Reo. Thanks anyway, but I'll stick with squonking here!

I run an Atomic on my LP Reo, with 0.28Ω duals. I run 80/20 vg/pg and Sony VTC batteries.

I'm quite capable of holding my own with the cloud chasers if i like! The difference is i don't have to take the top off to drip into it every 3 puffs.

There are no vape shops local to me (something i'm rather pleased about) and everyone who has seen my Reos invariable takes one of Rob's business cards.

What a shame! I went into my local vape shop the other day to taste a few juices, and was chatting up the manager about my mini. He told me to bring it in next time (nope still hasn't left the house) and he would help me rebuild my RM2. He seemed pretty stoked about getting his hands on one. His current device of choice is an ipv2. I'm going in Monday :D Squeeeeee!

This is exactly why I don't go into any B&M's anymore. They have nothing but non-educated idiots working in them and anything they sell I can buy online, have it delivered to my door, and usually save at least 25% on what I buy, (including shipping),.....

I tend to agree, by and large (there's one good one by my work). If the FDA has its way, however, B&M's might be obligatory if online shopping is curtailed (you know... to save the kids).

Hmmm, these posts really make me appreciate one local shop. Great people, knowledgable, and have a general idea of the Reo but don't quite understand it's wizardy. Not once have they been condescending about either of my Reos, they just want to watch the juice come into the atty.
Every staff member is friendly.... But don't get me started on a few of the other customers.

Apparently, vaping is as hot as the weather in my neck of the woods. The number of vape shops that have sprung up here over the past 1 1/2 years or so is amazing. Most seem to be owned and staffed by young folks with minimal knowledge of vaping, beyond the latest and greatest clone, and even less knowledge of vaping safety. It seems like everybody who has been vaping for a month wants to open a vape shop or start a juice company. Everybody wants to cash in.

As vaping has evolved over the last 1.5 years, so, too, has the B&M I most frequently visit (which is not often).

They used to push carto tanks, clearos, egos (and super-egos like the MVP), with a smattering of rebuildables and mechs (in a case waaaaay over to the side). Their juice bar contained full-flavoured juices, typically sold in the 12-24 mg range. Ratio of 'consumer level' customers vs mech heads seemed to be about 10:1.

Now they hawk mechs, mechs, mechs, RDA's, with some APV's and clearos off to the side. They pride themselves on flavour-weak juices at 1-3 mg, and the 'consumer'/mechhead ratio seems to be about 1:3.

Maybe they're just following the market, maybe the owners are just mirroring their own personal 'growth', but the conversations - and more importantly, the tone - these days are more likely to be about (relatively) extreme vaping, often delivered with a certain amount of smugness/condescension.

As a businessman, this piques my interest. They would appear to be alienating the bulk of the market (I've seen people clearly on the hunt for a starter kit bounce off the surface tension of the cloud crowd at the front and leave the shop), yet they are busier now than ever before and selling things at higher price points. They've moved twice to larger digs.

It's just such a young and fast changing industry, with many (most?) B&M's started by first-time entrepreneurs. It feels organic and largely unplanned, which can be good (Kickstarter, anyone?) or bad (Lord of the Flies, anyone?).

After original & other posts I'm not understanding how these "vape shops" can say customers aren't interested in Reos, glass tips, certain attys & so on when they don't carry them, or understand what it is? It's kinda like a steak house not carrying filet mignon cuz customers don't like that kind... Ah, your a steakhouse & as far as I'm concerned that's a must lol! Seriously, it's vaping & the great thing about it is WE pick what WE like & what works best for us. It's unfortunate that alot of these shops are stuck in kits & crap. Order a variety, it sits then you mark it down & don't re order, it sells & sells fast... Hmmmmmm, better stay stocked if you want to make money! Must be craving steak, dunno why I used that analogy lmao...

It amazes me how many of them have no idea about market trends and what products are successful.

Its not really the shop owners fault .... they have to carry what sells.
Even though the REO is the best and its successful its not even a blip on any market trend out there.

Even if they sat down with every single customer and educated them for 15 minutes on the REO I bet maybe 1 out of 50 might try one. The other 49 want their tube and tank or dripper just like their friends and all the you tubers use. U have 15 min X 50 customers thats 12.5 hours of min wage to try and make 30 bucks off a REO sale.

Try looking at it this way .... I've seen estimated that ecig industry will be 50 billion in 2014 (thats a 5 with ten 0's) Lets say Rob's doing a million a year for example. That means all REO products are .0002 % of the market ......

Great for Rob ..... Great for us ....... not a blip on the radar for shop owners.

My only local shop was pretty interested in my REO .... the counter kid even called two from the back room to check it out.

I've been in there 3 times in 18 months and never bought anything.

They too have gone from twist and evods in the center to mech clones and drippers front and center.
Their prices seem good and they always seem helpful to everyone when I'm in there so I think its a pretty good shop.
I'd actually like to give them some of my money but they just don't have anything I need. In fact I have everything I need all ready here at the house.

Most of the time I get curious looks and questions and some ooos and ahhs. And alot of "That is so cool! I need one of those!" So far no negative slams :) I have had one or two comments referring to "Old school" but not in a negative manner. When I tell them that it is dripping on the go, most really like it. I have even had a few offers to sell it on the spot (no dice!). I always tell them to go to Reosmods and they can pick out their own. ;)

I went to a Mister-e-liquid store about a month ago when I started vaping again (first tried back in 2008-2009). I believe I saw some REO for sale in their counter, along with Provari. If I recall correctly, they were marked up a bit from the REO and Provari sites prices, but it made me feel better about the store since I knew about the REO, and Provari. I ended up buying a DNA30 device plus a kayfun clone and have been fairly happy. Their service was excellent, but the kids that worked there were into the cloud chasing scene, but not pushy.

My wife is now interested in vaping. So, now I have an REO on the way for me, and she can use the DNA30. That is unless she likes the REO better. In that case we will be getting another REO in short order.
