The carts come with a rubber (i call it a condom) cap about one half inch long in length that cover both ends of the cartomizer. Also, there is a rubber pin inside the battery conection hole (to prevent leakage i think). So, yes. Just replace the condom9s) on the cart when not in use. Will stay fresh and moist.
thanks boreman I forgot about the rubber caps that go with the cartomizers. yes they work well but when you refill them do not put them on for the over night soaking because it wont allow air to help push the absorption of the liquid. but when you wake up put them on. And they'll stay fresh all day.

Thanks for all the great info, Grimmer and Boreman. After all the agonizing over 'to buy or not to buy', finally placed my order for my kit tonight. I've read and re-read so many threads on this forum that I am cross eyed and just kept getting the same message over and over. Great ecig and great guy (Steve). Was really torn between another penstyle or this. Have a 510 that I really don't like - too much messing around with drip/top, etc. And a 401 that vapes good but no flavor or throat hit. sigh. Am really hoping that the VK is my LAST ecig. And that it will be the one that is satisfying enough that it helps me get off analogs once and for all.

Heck yea the VK will keep you smilin all day. I got 3 hours of heavy heavy vaping last night. I could easily see this battery lasting 5-7 hours if you treat it like a cigarette.

It was unfortunate I couldn't make it to the brewskies saturday night. My fiance was getting migraines and her asthma was flaring up from the heat saturday. But I will be trying the VK out this coming up friday night (I hope). So I'll give a review on how well the VK battery does after beers have been in the situation. Im betting at least 3 hours after sollid vaping. Hey chain (vaping) is a normal thing when you've been drinking.

I did, indeed, use the 20% off coupon code. That's pretty slick - basically gives you free shipping! Phoned and talked to Steve a bit on Saturday and he was great. There is no doubt he is a man on a mission! Really wish now that I had gone with my gut feeling in the first place BEFORE I bought an M401 and then the 510. Would have saved some bucks and hopefully been totally off analogs by now. My 510 has been boxed up and sitting by my computer for a couple of weeks now. After less than two weeks use, knew that the constant dripping/topping off was not working for me! And the 401 gives me great vape but no throat hit or flavor. Am really looking forward to getting my VK! I've been scouring all the model review threads and supplier threads for over a week now trying to decide what to do and this VK supplier forum beats them all for consistant customer satisfaction. That says a lot!

Honestly those cartomizers are made for one purpose which is one time use and then toss. But it can be refilled several times but at your own risk because you could waist liquid if the built in atty fries. And if you dont keep those cartomizers moist you could burn the material inside over time. Which would leave a nasty taste in your mouth. Those cartomizers have at least 15-18 analogs worth of ejuice in them. Thats about 3/4 of day of use for me. At the end of the day I simply refill the cartomizers with 8-12 drops then let sit over night.

Honestly, its not that expensive for cartomizers compare to the cost of analogs. Basically a pack of 5 cartomizers cost $12.50 which breaks down to $2.50 for each cartomizer.. I can get 3 refills per cartomizers that comes down to 83 cents per cartomizer. Plus add in ejuice cost your looking at roughly $1.00 -$1.50 per cartomizer. So $1.50-vs. $6.00 per pack of smokes. So honestly it is not costly at all.

If you did only cartomizers you are still saving $3.00-$3.50. Of course Im going by the cost of cigarettes here in my area.

I hope this helps.:)

In Cook County, cigs are 7-10 buck a pack8-oHuge savings.

First day at work with my VK and the battery lasted all day I got home and put it on the charger but it was still not dead! Unlike my NPRO where I used 2 batteries before the day was over and was poo out of luck for the rest of the day until I got home. My work day is from 6am-6pm 4 hours commute time.

I can't wait for my new order to come in! 6 more flavors to try and a backup batt wooop :)

Thanks, Steve! Got my email today saying it was already shipped. Now ... if it wasn't that it's coming to MY place, I could actually expect to have my eager hands on it before the week is up. Keeping fingers crossed though but know realistically I still have another week or so to wait. Bummer ... Ah well, no fault of your's, Smilin!
Grimmer, I ordered a blue and black battery because ... well, I couldn't make up my mind! Ordered the Virginia and RY4 carts to start. Have always been a bit reluctant on the fruity flavors but, man, keep hearing you guys rave about some of them makes me wonder ... next order for sure! Maybe some Cola or Apple or ... damn it, Steve! Why do you have to have so many to choose from? :)
I'll be sure to post my thoughts on it when I finally get it. Am really looking forward to it. One thing has me curious, though ... how come the VK is never mentioned in the other subforums when people talk about 'what to get'? Why is everyone on this 901, 510, Prodigy, etc. kick? Almost like we're our own little society here. Just think it's odd, really ... especially now that Leaford has given this baby such a high rating. Ah well ...God, I can hardly WAIT ...

Anything over 3.7 v is not good for your atties. You will go through a lot of atties using those mods at 5v or 6v. Those atties will be lucky to last 3-4 weeks on average...not good. but some say they last longer if you keep moist but thats constant dripping every 5 puffs. no thanks thats a lot of wasted juice. Atties cost at least 10-15 bucks. I have a mod but only for a home use only. there to big to take anywhere. The VK is great ecig that will last you all day if you use as a cigarette. And its the easiest to use.

The main reason why people dont talk about the VK is The red dragon, epuffer, and smoke 51 gave the cartomizers a bad name. they're cartomizers taste like sh** on a stick.

VK cartomizers taste 1000 times better than any ecig out there....but those companies mentioned above destroyed the cartomizers image. thats why we need to get out there to show other wise.

I agree with Grimm. I own a Smoke51 (Crap51). and Grimm is correct in saying it is ish on a stick. And their batts are worthless. And their customer service and replacement policy is horrid............
Dont get me going any further...........

Do you find cart life and vapor production on a refill to be as long and vapor produceing as a fresh prefilled?

Also the vodka method is perfect for getting the flavor out of a cart even with the strong mint flavor. I would imagine it would get very costly to buy a pack of carts for every bottle of juice you buy.
Where are you Dimez? Are you in the military? My son is in the Navy.:)
