Hello all. I just took the leap into this new area of my life. I have spent some time on this forum and have just placed my first order. I need advise on whether I did the right thing. I ordered 5 of the disposible kits from madvapes for my friends and ordered the ultimate kit from vapor4life plus a extra mega battery and 3 or 4 packages of carts. Is this enough to start? Can anyone tell me how long it usually takes for them to ship orders. Thanks for the help. I think I will end up with a chuck eventually but wanted to keep it simple to start out with.

Haven't ordered from V4L, but it is very popular. I've heard good things. Sounds like you've ordered all the hardware you'll need to get started. I'd recommend getting some juice to refill those carts to compliment that. TastyVapor is my current favorite, followed by myfreedomsmokes followed by JohnsonCreek. I'd suggest you tried myfreedomsmokes to begin with. You can get samplers, 6 10ml bottles for 30$ (that's a good deal). That'll help you find what flavor you might like. I'd STRONGLY suggest you get the keoke coffee, and I would also try the RY4 (not sure about that, haven't tried it, but if it's Ruyan4, then everyone loves it afaik). The chocolate from them will stay in your atomizer for days. Not as much of a problem with cartos. Edit: Cartomizers are refillable, but if you don't care to do that/don't want the hassle, that's cool as well.

Haven't used this company. It all depends on how much you paid for your products. Personally you should not have to pay more than $35 for a kit. Also, buying the pre-filled carts aren't the best in terms of cost and longevity. If you take to the product look into getting yourself some e-Liquid. Don't pay more than $15 for a 35ml bottle.

Hey, nice that you ordered for your friends!!!
You probably did them the biggest favor of their lives.

How long can I expect it to last. I smoke about a pack a day of camel ultralights/marlboro also for 20 years. OMG. I can't believe it's been that long. I guess Ill have about 30 carts total. Thanks for the fast responses!

I was a pack-a-day smoker and I go through 2-3 cartos per day. You'll want to learn how to refill the cartomizers to make them economical (some great threads on that in the Vapor4Life forum here). You'll certainly have enough to get started - best to try out some flavors to see what suits you, then you can stock up. I've been very happy with V4L - my orders are typically here in 3 business days. I'd also recommend getting some blank cartomizers so that you can try out other juices as well - Tasty Vapor is great, as is Ms. T's Bakery Essentials. Best of luck!

These days I go through the equivalent of 2-3 full cartos a day I would estimate (I switch among five different flavors and top them all up). I was a half-pack-a-day smoker but the TastyVapor flavors are just too dang good :)...

V4L is a fine supplier with many fans and I love their quick shipping, but I have to say their prefilled flavors don't quite agree with me -- that's just to illustrate that individual tastes will vary.
I would agree with Worutaa on getting juice from a couple of places, in sample sizes to start. (Myfreedomsmokes.com has a sale right now and they have 6ml bottles. Nhaler.com has great flavorful juice too, in 6ml sizes. Ms. T's Bakery and DIYflavorshack do too, they're both closed for the holidays temporarily. And TastyVapor.us doesn't have sample sizes, but that lets him keep prices rock-bottom. Vermont Vapor offers VG-only juice in samples too. and so on...)

Also get some blank cartos at some point and try filling yourself -- I find the prefilled just have a funny undertaste to them after a couple of refills and they don't last for as many fills. Any KR808d-1 blank cartomizers from any source are compatible with the Vapor King, as it is a branded KR808d-1.

(The best price on small quantities of blanks I have found is Mist-Stix.com with the "ECF" discount and First Class shipping. Best prices on large quantities, HealthCabin. If you're willing to wait for registered airmail to lower the shipping cost, Heaven Gifts is competitive too.)

Check out the KR808d-1 model subforum for tips too.

If you find you'd like to try a different model of atomizer sometime, you can buy KR8 adapters to the 510 or 801 (I believe KR8s are already compatible with 901 attys).
