Norman, Ok
I don't agree that this is an issue that can be called defective requiring a free replacement part... though the idea of offering a 2 cent fuse protection as an optional purchase wouldn't be a bad idea.

My Legacy has a similar setup ( sans the telescoping part ) but it does have vent holes and enough side clearance around the battery ( no rattle either )... the cap switch is almost the same, it doesn't have a hot spring and I'm perfectly happy using it.

Ordered mine today. After four years of vaping this is about the most perfect form factor I have seen offered in a mod.
Fully mechanical, no regulating circuit, locking bottom switch, ego connection, takes multiple batteries - just what the doctor ordered.

THANKS GOTVAPES FOR BRINGING THIS TO THE US MARKET!!!

As for the haters - if you are so worried, then dont buy it. Learn how to safely use a mod, and what types of batteries are safest for crying out loud - if you cant handle that then go back to rechargable ego batts - oops, I forgot those arent vented and several have exploded.....

As for now, I am in complete disagreement with asking for holes to be milled into the cap of the unit. I would prefer some in the base of the body, or some slits.

I am in agreement with your disagreement. :) I did pretty much mean holes in the body rather than the end-cap. If we are going to drill holes, might as well put them in the right place, and avoid the bottle-rocket syndrome.

With the other stuff... Maybe. :)

P.S. Upon some thought, I do agree with most of your points - but with clarification of where I want the vents, I still think it's best to add them and a hot spring in all mods, including this one. Mileage varies, as usual.

And I wubs you too. :D Friendly disagreement is often a good thing.

Usually when we get a mod in or anything than an eGo form factor I use it for a bit to test then go back to my eGo. I just like the size/heft and form factor of the eGo for my vaping.

I have to say that this mod has now become my regular vaping machine. I am simply loving the Telescope.

Thanks Dan, I personally can't wait to try the mod out!

...
With that last point made, if this is a big issue for you with any mod, and this discussion is getting more generally safety-realted and not Telescope specific, you might do well to install a fuse. We do not have these but we are actively trying to procure these as well as safety charging & storage (lipo) bags.

That's really great news - thanks, Danno. :)

Why all this continued hand wringing? Did you all miss the post where GV stated that the switch provides venting?

As I stated before - learn what batteries are safe and how to handle them or you have no business using any type of mod.... Christ-on-a-crutch, I think some people in society need their diapers changed for them and their hand held as they walk across the street.

I am honestly starting to wonder about the motives of the select few who continue to try to paint this as somehow "unsafe" - in the middle of a worldwide unveiling thread....... Certainly is starting to look suspicious to me....

EACTLY--'twill be moved all pertinent posts to a batetry saftey sticky...I think its good to have one anyway...

so we have to swim through 20 plus pages of safety to check this mod out? How about you all take this safety concern to a new thread and leave this thread for what it was intended for?
