Russ, what's your favorite atty for single coil? I just can't get used to dual coils.

This one. It's also on the left in the pic in my post above. The stumpy.

It'll also revisited as part of the updates in Friday nights movie.

Russ what gauge, ohm, wraps etc, doesn't appear to be twisted.

Dan, experimented with that build by using 26 ga. It's 2.5mm ID and metered around 0.8. I think it 8 winds - I'd have to zoom in on the pic to count em. It performs well and much easier than using twisted.

I was looking to make a build that @Big Hitter and myself could more easily duplicate. I think he will like this. So far it's much tamer than the twisted build. The twisted in this application to me can be equated to a 250cc two stroke dirt bike engine: when its cold - like after sitting for a few hours (especially over night) it sputters (pops hard) and hesitates / loads up until it gets warmed up. It spits like a two stroke smokes until it's nice and warm then it puts out a very productive hard hitting (but suprisingly smooth) vape. The vape resulting from the build in the pic is more like honda sedan - just start it and go, great smooth vape every time you push the button but slightly less productive than the rad loose twist at like 0.6.

It's barely (very thinly) wicked with a product called native wicks that's an organic cotton a bud I visited in a very chill, semi local "vintage vapors" (a shop I found thru a Facebook amigo who manages it) gave me.

Which atty wins top billing for each of us will be as diverse and the number of atty's offered now days (ahellofalot of diversity with new ones coming out every day). The truely awesome for my uses have stayed on the top of my list ever since the first of them were acquired many months to over a year ago. I have no desire to look for anything to replace them, already have way too many of the 'replacement kind' I bought that I will never use.
What still works best for me... always will.

Fully agree. I like a variety of attys. I used to collect and smoke briar pipes; so I tend to look at attys in much the same way. They all have their quirks, none are perfect, and some I enjoy more than others. I'll buy a new atty to try, every now and then, just to keep my head in the game, and satisfy my curiosity. With new attys coming out all the time, I can pretty much tell the ones that might appeal to me, and those that won't.
To date, my all around favorite atty is the Manta V2. I have several, and would have more, if they were still being made.
I like the Nuppin and the Atomic (RM4) on my metal Reos.
Lately, I've been enjoying the Stumpy and the Thump on my Woodvils.

Hey Russ, I checked your numbers against steam engine because I am trying to keep learning and am way behind in certain areas, your # of wraps is a tad high, is this because you are using the coil master and not doing a TMC.

I am using 28 now and if I go 7/8 wraps I would be around 1.0ohms, maybe the stumpy might work for my MTL vape?

Yeah, 2.5 mm ID is about 1mm larger than micro coil diameter. But it works real well. The stumpy might be good in a restricted AFC config and normal DT for MTL but that chuff and 2 holes open on each side would not work for MTL I can assure you.

I don't use calculators bro. I run by seat of the pants and ohms readers :)

I've been seeing this Native Wick stuff around. It's like $7.99 for 3ft of it. Is it any better than KGD? The price for just 3 ft is a little steep when you can get a lot more with KGD, and CelluCotton.

I bet all of us have spent out the wa-zoo for wicking supplies.

I personally have about $100 in wicking material alone (SS Mesh [HASHTAG]#320[/HASHTAG], 400 and 500); CVS Cotton; KGD; Selena Cotton; RxW (2mm and 3mm); CelluCotton; and Silica. Wonder what else is coming out that's the "next best thing"

Meh, it looks nice, is easier to work with than KGD cause it's like a roll of wick and doesn't have seeds but I can't say if I will order any. Just giving it a shot.

I have a couple samples of Native Wick, and it's ok. I don't know that I'd buy any. Compared to the old standby, KGD, it's no better, IMO, so not really worth the price.
I've also been fooling around with Cotton Bacon Version 2. I do like this product, a lot. I didn't think I would; I figured it's just another gimmicky repackaged cotton product. But it's nice stuff.

This^^^ I've been using Cotton Bacon V2 also for about a month now (?) and it's really easy to use and the results are easily replicated for me. I can't seem to cut even strips of KGD to save my gonads...

I stopped in a vape store about a month ago to chat with the owner, who happens to be a friend of mine. He was talking about the Cotton Bacon, and how much he liked it, so I thought: "What the heck", and bought a pack. He used to sell Native Wicks also, but most of his customers were beginning to prefer the Cotton Bacon. It's good stuff, pretty easy to work with and get consistent results. Nice, clean vape, with almost no break in time.

I was given a sample of it too. Ima give it a try next time I re wick. I have like a lifetime supply of KGD and cutting it is no issue but pickin out seeds is kinda beat.

Right now I'm on a 1.2 ohm 28g single with one hole open each side & KGD....... its an awesome vape.

Will give it a try, I have been wondering about it for some time now.

This video (not me here - I wish) perfectly describes the stumpy. Notice the warm up period (I assure you he was warming it up for ATLEAST a minute before they rolled tape).

Then notice after the warmup. That's like the performance of a warmed up stumpy :) just listen to thst engines getting worked. Revs rarely decrease just feathering the clutch (fire button) :)
