...Some things just don't mix well. This was an extremely rare case of course, but I have personal experience that it can and does happen. A perfectly healthy young lady tried some supplements given to her by a friend and the reaction was fatal. It was heartbreaking.

Ditto. In 30 years, I have lost TWO friends as a result of using 'harmless supplements' along with prescription meds. Even grapefruit juice can be dangerous to folks taking heart meds. READ LABELS and TELL YOUR DOCTOR/PHARMACIST.

Im just doing 5-6 mg now and im not chain vaping anymore,i also stopped coffee and junk food and walk 5 miles/day,my BP is back down to 145/90,still high but im working on it.

Good news! If they told you to lower your salt intake, I suggest Lite salt instead of salt substitue which is only potassium and can throw your electrolytes off. Lite salt will keep them in balance which you need for sure with the chance of vaper's dehydration. I take a calcium channel blocker after trying both an ace inhibitor and a beta blocker. Both of those were trooouble but the CC is doing a great job. My BP has actually gotten better since starting vaping but I was a chain smoker and wound up in the hospital with an oxygen saturation of 60. Good luck to you.

I am afraid of supplements and only take calcium with vitamin D3 in it nowadays. I was taking a simple One-A-Day for Women's multi-vitamin and when I had my yearly bloodwork done my liver had real high numbers of some sort. It was something having to do with retaining too much Vitamin A, I believe. The doc called me within a couple days and said he wanted me back first thing Monday to get 3 more bloodwork tests done to see if I had Hepatitis. I was scared to death the whole weekend waiting for Monday to come around. I researched online that weekend and decided I would stop the multivitamin and see if that was causing the problem. Sure enough Monday's bloodwork showed completely different numbers and my liver was fine then. He asked me what I had done different and I told him I quit taking the multivitamin. He told me we should not take supplements unless we know our body needs thems. I was damaging my liver from a simple multivitamin and didn't even know it.

120/80 is considered good range bp. The top number will change with activity but should come back down when your in a quiet state. 140/90 is mild hypertention usally take care of with change of diet. salt plays a big roll in bp, so does if you are dehydrated. Combos of caffeine, salt, nicotine, and dehydration.
If your bottom number stays continually high over 90 and the top number doesnt come back down after activity its time to see a dr.

Natural diuretics (things that remove fluid from your body) caffeine, so tea, coffee, cola sodas.
PG and VG are Hygroscopy liquids, meaning they grab water molicules and hold them, this is why the need for water while vaping.

so what im saying here is if you drink lots of caffeine and vape you have a chance of becoming dehydrated. which can effect your bp.
