Not precisely, but I've always used it a bit differently -- I put it in everything I vape. But the day I added it, in the morning, that night I realized that I hadn't had a craving ALL DAY LONG... The absence of something is harder to recognize, than the presence of it. :D

But, given that WTA might be "low hanging fruit" to the gov't busybodies, the way you're doing it is a lot more sensible -- you won't have to go thru the long weaning-down process that I've been doing for over a year now. Your way is also probably a lot less costly! At the time I did it, I was still experimenting with a lot of different flavors, and I feared if I put it in just one tank, I'd just end up sucking on that tank all the time... so I did an end-run around that, by using a low level that I *did* suck on all the time. :D

Andria

Thanks ... I did consider doing it your way, but I'm a bit like @englishmick in that it feels like going back a bit. On the other hand, if the occasional puff stops me from lighting up a cigarette, I'll take it. :)

CONGRATULATIONS!! I actually quit a little over a year ago without realizing it. Never intended to quit, but could not smoke in current residence. Got a cheap setup for inside and found I could go several hours w/out a cigarette. Kept upgrading to better setups and eventually I didn't even crave a cig. I think the key to my quitting was that I found a flavor I really liked that had no tobacco, and once I didn't crave that tobacco flavor, I had quit.

@RoseJ Congrats on the quitting. :)

This past week, went to father-in-law's house to carry in wood & a few other chores. Found myself with no vape as I had not figured being so long away. Bummed a smoke from him, fired up inside.

Went out to enjoy the glory of a cigarette unhindered by needing a .... tray. Got maybe two drags off of the thing. Felt my body literally convulsing and getting away from the cigarette. Snuffed it out and took it back in to him.

Can no longer smoke cigarettes, use any tobacco. Glad of it too. :) I had been kind of on the fence. Now, I see that vaping works and I can quit after 30-35 years.

Sure, I can still use nicotine. Don't mean I need tobacco to use it.

@RoseJ, I'm so happy for you! It's been 88 days for me and every time my hubby walks in from smoking it really makes me want to have one.
It seems like a lot of ex smokers don't like the smell, but I really do!
It makes me think that I'm crazy or the odd ball out!
Anyway congratulations again and best wishes

Nope, not crazy. When I'm around people who are smoking (which is pretty rare), I find myself tempted too, and I enjoy the smell of fresh smoke. Now stale smoke, that's another matter...

Hi there, Neil, and thanks for asking. :)

Going great guns. I'm very happy. I keep comparing to the last time I tried to quit (cold turkey) and the difference is like night and day. I have no doubt in my mind that I can do this, and that belief is a first for me too.

I'm hitting a small dose of WTA when I think I need to, which is working out to 5-6 puffs, once a day. That stuff is awesome. All-in-all, I'm over the moon about e-cigs. :)

I even think now that I could do a dare like yours. :)

That WTA really can make all the difference -- it goes a long way to explaining to me why I found the patch so useless; my dependence on and tolerance for nicotine is very low, has been since I got used to ultra-light cigarettes over 20 yrs ago... but they're still tobacco, so still deliver the full alkaloid cocktail, and until WTA, smoking was the only way to get it!

But I really think the simulation of the smoking action is an even greater explanation -- when I tried the patch, I craved that sensation with every fiber of my being -- suck, inhale, exhale, ahhh. Empty straws just don't cut it -- even if you tape a cigarette-filter to the end.

WTA is also the answer to all those nimrods with their "well if *I* could do it..." idiocy.

Yep, I agree with all of that, Andria. I call WTA "my missing link". It's surprising too, how little is needed, and how far it goes. I took about 5-6 puffs last night about 10pm, and here it is after 1pm the next day, and I haven't felt the need for it again yet.

I agree with what you said in another post though, about WTA being the low-hanging-fruit that will probably be the first thing to be restricted. :(

You're in a better frame of mind than I was in day 4 :) Good luck :)

Day 4 wasn't bad for me.... but day 5...!!! ECF WAS COMPLETELY DOWN ALL DAY!!!! TRAUMA CITY!!!! I dunno how I managed to get thru that day without smoking, or just having a complete meltdown, but somehow I managed it. Twitter helped; there were a few ECFers on there to talk to.

Yep, ECF helps a LOT! I can't believe the help, support, advice, and information I've had from this forum.

I'm actually doing so well though, I can hardly believe it. I keep waiting for a real bad day, or at least a real bad craving, but honestly, I barely feel like I'm quitting. Maybe I've just got the right combination of hardware, good liquid, motivation, reason, support, and of course, WTA. :)

And maybe the crash and burn is still to come. :)

Rose, reading along with your progress reminds me of my first days and fears.. Day 1, Day 3, 1 week, then a month and the milestones kept on going. As time passed, I worried less and and became a happy vaper. Based on how well you're doing, it really seems like you've got this. Enjoy!!

Nearly at one week of quitting, and all is well. I can't believe I just wrote that - it's like an oxymoron after past quitting experiences. :)

I've also been testing how I go with the weight gain that's typical when quitting. I'm at a good weight, and don't want to gain. I got on the scale this morning and I've lost nearly one pound, so yay! No weight gain when quitting with e-cigarettes.

As an early one-week gift to myself, I got myself a spare Innokin Endura, and here they are. :)

Thanks everyone for your incredible support with this journey of mine which is the most important one of my life!
