Just the thought of Compton gives me shivers. IIR they even closed down the Trauma Center there quite a few years back. I think I've been to every state around Cali, but never been to Cali.

Oh no!! That's the only color I'm against, well that and those darn stripped blue and orange ones. I can make an exception though in your case.

I hesitate to get involved in a thread involving politics, because—as you all know—such things tend to be minefields.
However, I have to give it up to you, Mist, not necessarily for what you believe or don't, but for the courage to wear proudly a designation that's morphed over the years into a stigma-laden label—and all that implies. Most people I know of your leanings opt for progressive, or reformist, or something less likely to make a pariah of themselves.
I've always thought it telling that self-proclaimed liberals are often called bleeding hearts—i.e., compassionate—and the label is intended as an insult.
Not that conservatives don't find themselves being called Hitler Youth, of course.

Man, I sit down today to watch: my Kings lose (again, they're good at that) and some playoff football. So halftime of the 2nd game (I have it taped) I hop online and......WOW. I feel like I missed a week.
Let me say that I know it can be tough to say how you feel. I admire your courage Mark to do just that. And as I read on, to you and Neil and John and Debi and all, for all your words.
I know politics and religion are taboo topics, but sometimes that just makes things worse. With half of the media calling names and disparaging one side, the other half doing the same to the other, I am tired of it, especially the way things are going in our country today. I know, that's how they make there $, but playing us against each other isn't the way to do it. I am a right leaning fiscally, left leaning socially Dead Head, (I know, sounds weird ha, btw my avi isn't me, it's Jerry Garcia for those that didn't know) and I'm really fed up with the media and all our politicians.
I thank Mike for bringing together this great family of wonderful caring people that I count as friends and I cherish to be part of it.

That's how I feel. I also believe we need to do something to save this country from the way it's headed. But that is what the outside forum is for. One day I realised while I was arguing on the outside forum how ridicules I was being to be arguing political views on an electronic cigarette forum and I quit. So now I got one heck of a great bunch of people on this forum from all walks of life and every corner of the world that I care a great deal about. The nice thing is in this forum a person can speak up without being called names, ridiculed, or classified for their feelings. I like that and if it ever changes I'll be the first one to go. Remember this is the Notcig family forum not just a bunch of idiots getting together and we have the best moderator around. Now all together group hug.
Yall took the sentiments right from my heart and typed them. I couldn't have said it any better.
