Hi all,
I've spent a little bit of my hard earned cash on a few of these gizmos so i thought i'd make a quick review of all the ones that i've bought.
My first purchase was the NJOY e-cigarette about 2 months ago after reading a review on this very forum.
At first i was real disappointed because i just wasn't getting enough smoke from the cartridges. They worked for 2 puffs and then had to wait a while to be able to get some more smoke. I went through 3-4 cartridges per day. Which just wasn't good enough. Also, the cartridges always had loads of liquid left in them but not enough to provide good smoke. Moreover, it was all very erratic. Sometimes it would work great for a day and then not work at all the next day. A few times, the taste changed and became really nasty. I washed the atomiser under a tap of water and the taste went.
Then i discovered drippng! and suddenly e-smoking became a reality. My njoy started providing some decent smoke, but i still have to drip every hour or so. Not very practical. After 2 months of use the batteries started giving in. I go through 4-5 batteries per day.
Then, I read about the e-cig pipe. TropicalBob had given it a good review. I bought it and i thought the cartridges again didn't work well. Not enough smoke and liquid in the mouth at times. I think the vaporised liquid condensated on the outside of the cartridge and then was sucked in on each puff. However, the e-cig.com pipe was dripping heaven. I got huge smoke out of this. But once again, no very practical unless you're using the pipe at home only.
Unfortunately, after 3-4 weeks of use, the pipe died. What's kinda worring is that i had left the pipe on the sofa and when i picked it up it was boiling hot. The atomiser had stayed on for some reason and had melted the glue that holds the atomiser to the battery compartiment of the pipe. I wonder if this could have been a fire hazard. After having gone through this, the pipe had a nasty taste and i didn't try to see if it still worked.
Finally, my latest purchase is the e-cig.com USB mini-cig. I purchased it on recommendation of the Doc who posts here jmkl or something. Unfortunately, I misunderstood his review & he was actually talking about the e-cig USB addon to the e-cig cigarette. NOT the all-in-one USB minicig. the USB minicig is absolutely useless. the cartridges are tiny. No smoke. All you get is a mouthful of e-liquid. Stay away.
My next purchase will probably be the ruyan K.I.S.S. I really really hope i can find an e-cig that's reliable. Because until now I've been fairly disappointed. But then again, it's early days for e-smoking and hopefully we will have some quality products soon.
